Your oil looked pretty dam good for a modern machined freshly built engine. My Evo 8 looked identically the same using Driven GP1 Break-in Oil. Only difference is GP1 is dark green in color vs. amber of BR40.
No kidding? Honestly with the s3 cams I was definitely expecting more material, but this is the reason I stand behind driven racing oil. That funny tho cause I usually start out on BR40, and after it’s dyno’d I swap to GP1. They’ve just recently started doing the GP1 break in oil. But no doubt pretty normal looking oil for all the initial metal wear! Thanks for the feedback!

Are the Subaru GSC S3 cams billet with their special coating on them? My S3's are super nice billet and coated from GSC.
