I never really paid attention to the lyrics of the Papa Roach version. His song was played to rock out and get ya pumped up and filled with angst. While Ronnies version is like the adult version. Great reaction thanks!

I loved it when Ronnie showed Papa Roach his version and how supportive he was. It was touching.

Awesome reaction !!! Keep on FEELING … that’s what music is all about .. to reach one’s soul . If this song brings on no emotion all I can think is that that person has not found his/ her yet . Never be ashamed of feeling or relating past or present …

There was a veiwer that said the PapaRoach version was for young people and headbanging.
Ronnie's Reimagined song is for adults. The lyrics hit harder now because we've been through life's ups and downs, and come out the other side. It is beautiful, it's emotional because he is singing from the heart.

Fellow adult diagnosed ADHDer. Pouring the puzzle together makes your whole life make sense. Then the grief of, who could I have been if people had not let me down by not catching it when I was a kid.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I saw PR perform this for the first time on TV on Letterman! I think 2000?? Maybe 99? I need to look it up. I’ve been a huge fan since inception. Even saw them in concert!!! And I never really “listened” to the lyrics until I saw this version. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I feel embarrassed!! 😂
Chief - I’m really sorry about your grandma and what you went through. We are all a step away from falling off that edge so no one should sit in judgement for those that slide. I haven’t been through addiction but I have been through crippling mental health and I have been through some shiz! I slide in a different way. But you’re right. There is always light, a rope into the whole… And you did it. Congrats on that buddy. You are doing amazing. 🙏🏼🤍
-- Oh so excited for you to see FIR!!! Saw them this summer and they were SO GOOD!!!!

Same here brother, my mother passed away in 2020, father 2022 and my grandma from Mom's side last new year. But i had over 3 years of falling back to drugs and medicine's. Now I've been 6 months sober again. Idk, too much happened in 2,5 year time span for me. I most likely wouldn't be here without help of taking all emotion's and apathy with those things. My mom passing was the hardest for me.

OH…MY…GAWD!!! Head-to-toe chills and goosebumps. This is such a phenomenal version of this song. Like others have mentioned, I too have listened to this song over the years and not really paid attention to the lyrics or realized the actual meaning. But after life events, the lyrics resonate so much with so many of us, quite literally. 5:29 has me reeling, exactly how I felt for so long, like my whole world just crumbled and I lived in ‘survival’ mode for the better part of 10 years.
I’ll reiterate Chief, you are a wonderful human and you sharing your story, your vulnerability, kindness, and love towards us all (to me) has been refreshing. I am so happy for you and that you climbed out of that darkness and are now sharing your light with the world. Thank you for being you and allowing us to be a part of your journey. ❤ 🫂

see you in London, on Dec 16th.

This is my first time commenting on your reactions I believe. Subscribed to you awhile ago. One thing I noticed about your reactions is that you seemed so closed off previously. But once you watched "Hi Ren" it opened you up, it brought out your emotion and ever since that one song you've felt a different type of connection to music. This song is the same thing. Falling in Reverse is one of my favorite bands. Keep up the good reactions brother. Cheers!

A ball of confusion! Boy do I get it! When my sons got diagnosed w/A.D.D I was shocked to learn at 31 I had it TOO! But not all that surprised. It was a relief to finally understand ALL the "whys" I had for screwing up a promising life. I also learned I'm an Empath. I FEEL others pain as well as my own so turned to opiates for 30yrs to numb them. I Lost my 4 sibs, parents n niece w/in 10yrs. Was married for 28yrs 2a good man but he bcame bi-polar n had 2 ask him to leave after 17yrs of trying. Then a 14yr relasionship w/an abusive narcissist w/a sob story (of course! An empaths aphrodisiac lol) I still hv my sons but their 1,400 miles away. I hv no more friends cuz they were all addicts too. Anyway, my point is I relate to all yr pain. After living in a tent a few months I decided 2go to rehab for a year. Now 3yrs in sobriety i found spirituality, (not religion) a quest 4 my purpose (cuz my past was a blur) I'm learning to know, grow n love myself in the time I hv left. I turned 63 Oct 11th 5 days after the Florida hurricanes blew my roof off..lol. But grateful I hv a roof over my bed n bathroom where i spent all my time anyway. and ....I'M ALIVE! to keep discovering lifes mysteries that intrigue n inspire me. Like wat u said about the light prevailing over darkness? I was just thinking that exact thg yesterday as I sumtms do. (I say candle) It all made me feel a connection w/u which was nice. Maybe why I nvr feel lonely is bcuz ppl like u remind me that I'm nvr alone! So thank u for sharing a piece of your story w/me. Hope I didn't bore u2 much?? Love n Light 2u n yours.........Lisa

Such an amazing, genuine reaction. Thank you for staying true to yourself and your emotions. I feel like Ronnie’s version of this song speaks to us so deeply as adults because he brings out the deep set, true emotions behind the subject matter - sadness and helplessness. The Papa Roach version spoke to the angsty teenagers in us… it scratch the surface and touched on the surface level emotions of anger and frustration. Ronnie truly knocked it out of the park with this one.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in my thirties and now working through a diagnosis of being on the autism spectrum as well. I lost my grandparents and my parents and a childhood friend all within in a ten year period. Then in 2018 my husband had a stroke. He survived but he's disabled. I feel those lyrics now and they hit home.

These kinds of remakes from "bangers" from our past are super special. It's amazing how much that time and experience will change what a songs means to you...let alone when Ronnie gets hold of one!!! As for bringing "the feels" to your reactions, like the lyrics say, we're here to tell YOU "You're fine!" Take care, brother!

I'm sorry to hear about all your struggles but you came through it and are such a sweet person. You did the work and your life will be wonderful for it. Trust me. And you are never alone! Congrats on quitting smoking. You got this. Hugs and love to you.

This song and Ronnies version gives me the shivers every time, goosebumps on and off. It is so beautyfull and resonate deeply with me also but for totally different reasons. For most of my life I was told to not be so sensitive and to suck it up everytime I felt upset or sad. Not the best way to deal with ones emotions and it make me sick in the end. Now I am trying to let my emotions come and go as they are meant to as long as they do not become out of control totally. A healthy balance in other words.
You have really well, Chief! Be proud of the positive changes you have made in your life and keep working on your selfdoubt, confidence and selfworth because you are such a beautyfull soul ❤
Thank you for sharing your story with us and for having the curage to be honest and open about your feelings. It shows your emotional growth and your big heart ❤
So wish I could go to London and see FIR in December, find you and give you the biggest hug in return for all the love you keep spreading around you. Keep that light of yours shining bright ✨
