There is actually a vocal technique for the roars as you call it. It doesn't hurt your voice when done correctly, and there are plenty of other ways singers take care of their voices. Like tea's and things.

I love watching people fall in love with this band. Ronnie has had a rough past stemming from early childhood when his drug addicted mom left. His dad got clean and raised him and his brother. His dad belonged to the hells angels for years. Ronnie made some bad decisions but since he’s been a dad he’s been clean. Ronnie speaks his mind and people lose their minds about it, he also responds to haters lol

Ronnie took Papa Roach's song and made it his own. I used to rock out to the original song and never really paid much attention to the lyrics. Ronnie singing those lyrics slowed down really gave me pause and made me realize what that song was about. I just used to enjoy rocking out to it. So powerful. There's a video of Ronnie showing a rough draft to Jacoby (the lead singer of Papa Roach whose song it is). Ronnie and Jacoby are friends, but Ronnie was so nervous showing him the song. So sweet.

Jacoby Shaddix was looking for someone to redo the song for the 25th anniv. (i think) and Ronnie accepted. I heard Ronnie talk about making this once and he said he actually did this in one take. They were just doing a run-through and it ended up being so good it's what they used.

The drug in me is you (reimagined) is my favourite song of all time!!! He did a regular punk rock version from the first ever album and than a few years ago did a reimagined piano version. You can do both versions in a single reaction ❤❤❤ every video and song by this band is masterpieces ❤

I loved your reaction to this. Yeah Ronnie gives this song an entirely different feeling, you can hear the raw pain in his voice throughout the song. You should definitely check out The Drug In Me Is You (the original) then The Drug In Me Is Reimagined. As well as I'm Not A Vampire (original) then I'm Not A Vampire Revamped & his girlfriend is in the revamped video. I don't know if you watch or have watched wrestling but she was known as Paige on WWE, she was one of my favorites

This is actually a reimagining of the Papa Roach song Last Resort. The two are polar opposites. The original is a banger tho.
You should check out the original singers reaction to this. Ronnie showed him the original mix before it was mastered while they were on tour together. Even unmixed it was amazing and the original band was blown away. Like everyone else is saying check out The Drug in Me is Reimagined and I'm Not a Vampire Revamped and if you want a real mind fuck check out Coming Home (long time ago and totally different Ronnie).

Fun Fact: This music video is part of a series. Here's the PROPER order of that series. As confirmed by Ronnie, Saraya and Tech9. All are music videos you can react to with just as much production value as this one. Enjoy the rabbit hole.
1. Voices in my Head: He's in jail, nothing to do but work on himself killing his vices and inner demons mentally.
2. Popular Monster: He goes to court. Tells them about the anger. The beast within him comes out and kills all the court people. But some secret Illuminati like, government police catch him.
3. Ronald: He breaks out of the security van. He gets some powers from some lightning guys. Then the Angel of purgatory, which is the world he lives in, gives him powers and sends him to fight the ruler of the under realm.
4. Watch the World Burn: He now goes to save the world. Stopping a nuke. Killing some snakes. But the world keeps blaming him for everything and he eventually becomes the super villain and destroys the church and organized religion (Not God or the Bible) followed by destroying the whole world.
5. Last Resort: With no one left on Earth he's left internalizing everything. His mother especially. Makes him wanna off himself but then he runs away from the pain and realizes he just has to keep going. His emotions and energy then rebuild the world.
