      Thanks! I finished a second one, same pattern and fabric but a flutter sleeve. That one is cute too, but a little more time consuming to sew.

      I think so - and they are easy sleeves which is a bonus when sewing a lot!

      I LOVE seersucker! 💕💞💓💗 It is so comfortable. I got some really nice quality seersucker from a&e Fabrics in Pensacola and I must have bought a ton of it as it keeps on giving!

    Hello! Thank you for all of the info on the dress a girl project for 2023. I’m sewing this year to contribute as many as my arthritic hands can muster! It’s sooo important for a girl to have a dress, wherever she may live!!! . Also, thank you for the list of people to send them to, I’m in northern Indiana so an Ohio ambassador will be closer for me. Your video was very nice and I’ll look forward to more. GigiW. Aka Nancy.

    Keep up the video. You can replace the tabs with buttons fabric ties that tie at the shoulder. I have two patterns that have this. One is Petite Fille from Purperita . Super simple change. The other is To Tie For by Olive Ann Design .

    Your lined dress video is nice and @TodayInJensSewing Room has a video showing clearly how keyhole openings and ties can work with lots of patterns.

    Thank you for mentioning tween dresses. I am making a dress sized 14 and I was afraid it would be too big for any of the recipients. Next dress will be a size 12, then size 10. If the girl's can't wear them, maybe the moms will be able to!

    • @ChristineSewsALot
      @ChristineSewsALot  Рік тому +1

      That is such a positive attitude! They can definitely use tween dresses. I am looking through my patterns and the smallest women’s size for many would fit the older girls. It is nice to give the older girls something with a little style that does not look shapeless or like she is pregnant. Your dresses will be well loved ❤️

      FYI, if you live near a Joann's, they are having a Butterick pattern sale this weekend - $1.99. I see a few girls dress pattern that go up to size 14. @@ChristineSewsALot

      Mari should have them in at the end of this week. You can order some from her and she will mail to you. Dress a Girl Around the World is also expecting to get some more stock soon. How many do you need?

    I thought you couldnt use elastic.

    • @ChristineSewsALot
      @ChristineSewsALot  Рік тому

      You can use elastic! Just no buttons, snaps, zippers closures. The elastic will hold up long past being handed down several times. It is the buttons that can pop off, the Zipper that loses it’s pull, the velcro that no longer sticks, or the grosgrain ripping that frays to bits that we are avoiding.
