@@segagenesis1989 I haven’t been since 2016 and it was still very Caribbean aside from the nightclub events that move over to adding hip hop in the night, so when I saw people expressing their displeasure regarding floats in the parade playing popular trap songs instead of dancehall/soca etc etc. it was interesting to see the shift of how much hip hop influence is spilling into it

The family is blue collar tradies with a good amount of money for a down payment and is able to pay max $1 mil (mortgage is approved and stuff). Options are , 1.) in the city : good luck with that. 2.) near the city or nearby suburb like brampton, Vaughan, etc: problem is due to proximity of the city now those homes are becoming overpriced. 3.) outside of the gta: now you gotta rely on your vehicle to commute to work in the city. The housing shortage isn't just the development of homes, its also the price, accessibility, and even return on wealth of these homes. How do you think a lot of blue collar Italians that lived near downtown in the 70s bought homes and now retire in a cottage and have a huge home in Vaughan for less than current value of the original historical victorian age home.
Willowridge is a troubled little area, isolated from the rest of the area, but the surrounding area isn't so bad. There's areas like this all over Toronto, and the city is unpredictable because of it. It's normal when it comes to city life, don't trip over it.
