NO SUSPECT in Murder of Pregnant Amish Woman, 23

- Опубліковано 29 лют 2024
- It’s just afternoon when Andy Byler and a friend arrive at the Byler home. He shares the home with his pregnant wife Rebekah, and their two children.
At around 12:15 p.m., Byler walks into his living room finding his wife dead on the floor. After checking on his wife, Byler starts looking for his children and the friend calls police. The children are in the home, and unharmed.
Police cars lined Fish Flats Road, outside the Byler home. Rebekah Byler's death has been ruled a homicide. Authorities have not yet revealed how Byler was killed. Police say the crime does not look like a robbery as there’s no evidence that anything was taken from the home.
For now, there are no suspects or a motive.

They just arrested a 52 year old man, NOT THE HUSBAND, for her murder! He was charged with murder, burglary and criminal trespassing.
I saw. I really didn’t like how everyone assumed it was the husband or someone in the Amish community. It just felt icky and I feel bad for the husband who found her and then everyone assumed he did it while he’s grieving. To some degree good thing the Amish don’t have the internet.
From what I saw it the guy’s daughter thinks it’s a case of mistaken identity as the suspect’s grandson used to live in that house allegedly.
@ninjagirl226 That's what I read about the grandson also. That he was adopted by the previous owners. The accusing is amateur sleuths true crime is full of them by the end of winter every year. Summer comes and they disappear....
@@MizzTracy I heard on the news that the person fueling the grandson story was the suspect’s foster daughter.

A man has been arrested for this gruesome and evil murder. His name is Shawn Cranston, 52 from Corry, PA Congratulations to the police officers who made the arrest.
Thank you, googling now.
was he known to her
No. He was after the person who had the home before the Amish family moved in.@@louiseharraway2599
Last time this happened the Amish man was having an affair with a taxi driver. He went on a hunting trip while his lover came and shot his wife with all their children in the home so yeah it happens.
This is cruel and men comment. The police arrested a man, 53 yrs old, and it appears he thought someone else lived there .
The Amish actually have a VERY high rate of gun ownership. They use them for hunting, and most households have several in their homes
The victim was not shot according to news reports, she was slashed about the head and neck.
So what? They have guns, so what?
Oooo, very high gun ownership, scary, ...and the country you live in was won by VERY high rate of gun ownership too, so what?

i don’t for a second believe a robber would kill a pregnant person and leave living kids…
it takes a special kind of evil to kill a pregnant woman. and to leave living kids? no.
every instinct i feel says it’s not a break-in/robbery.
Plus Amish don’t really have anything to rob that someone just wandering in the area would want and unfortunately if the Elders deal with the crime
Within them this is horrible but think may be from someone they know
It’s most likely someone she knows, especially in rural PA the young Amish sometimes have fixations on the youth outside of their own community
What they gonna rob a butter Churn
The Amish don't use banks. So to the people commenting what would they Rob...$$$$ but I feel it's still highly unlikely. Probably somebody she knew😢
Agree.
There are quite a few videos on this platform of women who left this type of community because of the physical and emotional abuse.
That’s literally every community lol …
Did you see the story about entire Mennonite families that were being drugged with veterinary gas and r_ped repeatedly by a group of men in their community? Look up the Bolivian Mennonites. It is a crazy story (Mennonites are an off-shoot of the Amish).
It’s rampant thru the Amish community. I think it’s like 1 in 3 girls and women will be SA and/or r/aped. Usually it starts with father on daughter, brother on sister. And if the victim does go to the head of church they are usually victim blamed, made to ask for forgiveness and all that crap and made to pray for their attacker and move on and act like nothing has happened. The majority of the Amish community are just sick ass people
Evil exists everywhere, even in Amish Country.
How did the friend call the police? With a
can and string? I feel so sorry for the young mother, but the nonsense about the godly simple life of the Amish is a tourist draw…money, money, money at the cruel expense of animals, etc. Again, very sad for the young mother.

There was a story of an Amish man who was married with children. And he had somehow access to dating sites. And he started having an affair with a Mennonite woman. Along with many other women. And he talked one woman into killing his wife. She had a car and she drove to an area that would conceal her car. She parked and walked a good distance to the home and shot his wife.
They almost got away with it too. Also, they do have guns in order to shoot for food or prey protection.

Hey Nancy, I am in a small town called Jamestown, TN. There's an ongoing child abuse case with the parents Jason and Jennifer Klimp. Two adoptive daughters that were in their care were forced to eat only pureed food, kept in dog cages, small plastic tubs in a 60 degree basement, and a lot of other details. Please please please cover this because since we are in a small town, police aren't speaking out for these two baby girls. The Klimps are originally from Michigan.

AN ARREST HAS BEEN MADE!!!! SHAWN CRANSTON FROM CORRY, PA
The fact that the husband and 'family friend' (female) found her makes me suspicious.
Me too
Who else was going to find her? He's the only other one living in the house. He would have had to come home some time that day.
Female family friend could be anyone, not necessarily an affair, geez people. They don't want to identify who it was plain and simple. With technology and all the armchair wannabe detectives, law enforcement has to keep everything close to vest to secure convictions for real criminals. Too many people are being falsely online convicted, stalked, harassed, etc...
Me too!
Didn't you watch the whole video? The husband has an alibi. They don't use the alibi at the house where the crime was committed.
From what I have always seen with Amish crime, is, it's always someone who is From the community who did it.
That would be my guess as well. Especially since their so private within their community
Always??? I guess you didn't hear about the Amish school girls who were raped and killed by someone who was not Amish, years back. The Amish who are run off the road - hit and run? Armed robbery against Amish business owners all over the place?
He probably came home for lunch, their Amish
Unless that Amish person has a red jeep.
If that’s the case why live like they do when committing sins?
In all respect what would one rob from an Amish home a dough bowl, a wooden chair...I mean they don't have diamonds and jewels and high priced home decor...I highly doubt robbery was a motive.
It's definitely someone in their community
Exactly what I said the amish will make up anything in order to cover up DV affairs and will punish the victim so they don't speak out
They don't use banks or electronic payments. If they are running a business such as carpentry or bake goods. Hopes of large amounts of cash in the home could be reason for robbery. This was the case for a home invasion in upstate new york.
Amish furniture is actually really nice. Better than what I have.
@@StarSurvivor1585It could be a random psycho that Democrats let out of prison or an illegal alien they let in. The motive here my guess is sexual homicide.

They definitely have crime in their communities. Abuse and incest are rampant but the Elders handle it all secretly. They are also widely known to be animal abusers.

There is no shortage of abusive men in the Amish community. In fact, I’m surprised when I hear an Amish man is a good husband and father. I live in Amish country, the horror stories are endless.
Agreed! I live near here. Lived among Amish my whole life. They are abusive to their wives , children and animals. Yes there are good ones but the bad ones are hidden by the community, that is the scary part.
@@thehattersmadness1957 definitely, it’s hard to be good when you’re raised by bad men. I know good Amish men too, at least they seem good on the outside. No idea what happens behind closed doors. But there are many people who left the community at a young age who have written books in the area I live in, they also tell their stories in general to people and the stories kinda spread in a small town. True, very common in these cults.

Also, the Amish aren’t always so humble. In Ohio, they are the largest contributors of the puppy mill problem. Domestic violence is never reported and if it is, the church punishes the victims of it. Even if an Amish guy did this, the church would keep it secret and “handle” it among themselves.

I’ve noticed that too. She gets very emotional about that, as well as her twins, whenever anything involves children. She’s a savage when it comes to children. Sadly, I’m sure many of us can relate due to our own experiences. One can go through some very difficult and tragic experiences, when much younger, and things don’t always completely smack someone in the face until many years later. It can be therapeutic to finally express feelings about something very painful to one’s heart. Yes, she seems happily married BUT…this is still something very sad and tragic that she experienced and no one can take that away. It calls for sympathy/empathy…feeling compassion and sorrow and…if we can’t relate…we still try to put ourselves in the shoes of others. Nancy deals with it but she’s just never going to completely heal from it. It genuinely shattered her heart and took many years to marry and have children. We understand.

Most of the people on this are very God loving people. Very good people.
But there are ones that are amongst any group of people that are bad and hide that for fear of being shunned.
And as for the red Jeep there would be views on cameras right outside of their areas at the cities. Because it had to come from one direction or the other.
And periodically they do take in strangers people if they abide by their rules. And allow them to work for food and shelter while they're there. So that is another thing to look at.
