      Exactly.. my mom had one of the most horrific abuse cases, but was an amazing mother! She actually used her abuse to help abused children for over 35 years. A lot of those abused kids have found her later as adults thanking her for being the only person there for them. She is an Angel

      She wasn't saying the parents being abused was an excuse. She said it could have been a reason they became abusers. And that if people pay attention and intervene sooner it could prevent cases like this from happening in the future.

      A lot of families have a scapegoat child … they seem to care for all but the one scapegoat and then they abuse it and make the other kids and family members help. It’s pretty traumatic for the other kids involved too. It’s really odd psychology and super sad. I rather you just turn the one kid into authorities. Then again that family might just pick a new target. Idk.

      Thank you! I was thinking that as well. She's making excuses for them but the other children were not abused. It shows they knew right from wrong. Also, in so many cases of child abuse they always say the child misused food or didn't want it. It's all lies!.

      @JulieSevelson-nb9nj 8 місяців тому +4

      Yup !! Once a person is an adult, they are accountable for their own actions. Having an abusive childhood is no excuse, because choosing to be abusive is a choice, in their part. Lately,their are people who are creating videos about child abuse and toxic, narcissist parents in the Black diaspora/ community. This is SO long overdue! Child abuse has been normalized, that's the problem.

Parents, and I use that term loosely, should not be allowed to have a second chance to hurt these angels! Remove them and let them grow up happy and loved. Not removed for a couple of weeks then given back to monsters to then be found like this or dead! I don’t care how overworked they say CPS is. That needs to stop.

Frankly I don't know how they can give kids to parents that their own kids have or will go no contact with.

    I was an abused child and left home at 14 years old, when I had children I was a better parent because I didn’t want them to feel the way I felt growing up. I can not understand how someone could want someone else to feel the same pain that they felt. If you don’t want the child give them up. I never even had a babysitter, my husband and I worked different shifts so we could make sure our children had the care they needed. I pray for all abused children. My children are all grown. My husband has since passed, I wish I had a big house and a lot of money to foster some abused children to give them the love and attention they need and deserve.
