- Just after midnight, Kimberlee Singler, 35, calls 911 to report a home break-in. She tells police that her two youngest children have been murdered. Singler’s oldest daughter is transported to a local hospital for treatment. Singler is also treated for minor injuries.
Police uncover an ongoing legal battle between the mom and her ex-husband Kevin Wentz. Wentz’s attorneys say their contentious divorce and custody dispute has been going on for over five years. In the latest hearings, it was arranged for child exchanges to take place at a police station in Colorado Springs. When Singler failed to show up with the children, Wentz's attorney filed an emergency motion to law enforcement for assistance to enforce parenting time. The Court granted the motion and Wentz was awarded custody.
Police determine the burglary report is unfounded, and present evidence to obtain a warrant for Singler's arrest, but the mom is nowhere to be found. Since she was not a suspect, Singler was not under surveillance and by the time she needed to be, she was gone.
On December 26th, investigators established probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant for Kimberlee Singler on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree attempted murder, child abuse, and assault. Details of the arrest warrant are currently sealed under court order. Singler was arrested in London four days later, and is now fighting her extradition.

Wierd how everyone forgets Kimberlee's family. They lost those kids too and Kim. And theyre grieving just as hard as the Wentz family. This tragedy has affected a lot of people. These families werent small.

My first thought, too. It's a phrase usually used when one parent makes spurious allegations against the other and is eager to destroy that other parent's reputation and their bond with the child or children. Thank God it's ordinarily a matter of withholding visitation and rare that it goes so far as murdering the children. In this case, that's what happened. It's the ultimate withholding of the children. 😢

Just in 2023 alone, so many moms have taken their childrens lives. It really is alarming. I hope that when this one gets back to the US, the full extent of the law will reign down on her. It's heartbreaking that the emergency custody didn't happen immediately, avoiding this tragedy completely.

I don't understand why these people in their twenties and 30's killing the kids just because they are so selfish, they are not getting what they want. I'm sure I pulled a lot of crap, but never once did I ever feel my mother didn't love me. She went without so we could have just the basics. This brings to light the question of flight to a country outside the US to avoid accountability for of all things, in this case, murder.
There should be some sort of alert in place that involves passports of those accused of serious crimes trying to flee to another country.
A temporary hold on them for a certain amount of time so someone can't simply hop on a plane out of the US to avoid accountability.
Donna Adelson is a perfect example of someone who came close to doing the same thing. But by Donnas own ignorance and stupidity, she raised red flags on herself by telling her son on a recorded line, while he was incarcerated, what her plans were, hence her arrest at the airport trying to flee.
In this country we are innocent until proven guilty, so theres other elements that play into putting a hold on a passport, but something has to be done about it in these kinds of situations.
Once a few make the news of successfully fleeing, its only a matter of time before this becomes a more common problem.

What happened? The mother murdered her children and shot and injured her daughter 11 years old. Our justice system repeatedly fail the children because the CPS and police departments don't safeguards these children.

If I were an expert being invited to contribute on this show, I’d think twice before doing so. Nancy is so rude to these professionals when they give their professional opinions and they differ from her own. Don’t ask them if you don’t want to hear it. Anyone with a basic understanding of psychology knows that two feelings can exist in the brain at the same time. That humans are complicated. The way the professionals get interrupted and scolded by Nancy is simply not acceptable. You can be intense and passionate without being rude. It makes these videos so hard to watch and while I know my singular self no longer watching doesn’t make a drop in the bucket, I hope others see the same thing.

This case speaks loudly of Parental Alienation. Beating her ex was more important than her own children. This is a common theme in family court, however it’s more rare that it ends in murder.
