    Omg. My wife and kids wanted rabbits and under protest I agreed, paid thousands to be fixed, a big home in our kitchen, toys, food etc. I wasn't thrilled with getting rabbits, but the kids were super excited, so... Ok. I'm 44 years old and have had dogs and cats all my life and I swear to God when you earn a bunnies trust and he loves you... There is nothing like it. I am head over heels in love with Howard (my lion head bunny) and he has me wrapped around his finger. He looks forward to seeing me, I look forward to seeing him, my face gets a 20 minute bath every night after work and we are best buds. The female (Albert) has a different personality and doesn't dig humans as much as Howard and that's ok because they adore each other. Rabbits are a way bigger commitment than dogs or cats. These 2 keep me busy daily and that's ok because I would do anything for them. I was never a rabbit or small animal lover because I always assumed it was just a lot of cleaning and mess with little interaction. There is a lot of cleaning, but once you gain a bunnies trust and love it melts your freaking heart. They're only 6-7 months old and I'm already bummed to hear most rabbits only live 9-10 years (I can't even think about that). Awesome vid and my little bunnies look a lot like yours, but different coloring. Howard I'm done watching UA-cam. Let's snuggle 🥰

      Aww such a cute comment.. im getting a bunny and the thing that scares me the most is cleaning.. coz I heard bunny pee smells bad hahaha...

    • @chefdave12118
      @chefdave12118 4 роки тому +1

      @@nikay02 it's really not bad at all. Maybe because we got them fixed and they don't spray (or whatever rabbits do), but I change the litter box every couple days and they are gucci. My buddy howard just stares at me with curiousity and love I stare at him with the same. Getting your face licked by a bunny is the best. Good luck with your bunny and get ready to fall head over heels in love 😉

      Alexis Zarycki Oh ok My lionhead is 12 weeks old and we’re still learning each other. I’ve had him 3 weeks. I’m trying to figure out the perfect setup, especially for the litterbox. I don’t want him sitting in his pee-poop and I’ve already had to switch his litterbox once because the 1st was too tall. Even with the one he has now 50% of the time he will jump in and sometimes he’ll try but then decide to eat any hay pieces that have fallen on the floor. I’m trying to figure out if it is still a little too high for him or if he’s a little lazy😊

I waited a bit, and talked to my daughter, and decided to not get it. I looked at a local rabbit rescue society we have here, and they always have rabbits that need adoption, and older or sick rabbits that need a sanctuary place to live. So if I change my mind I will go that route. Also, I have a free roaming ferret, and I would have to be super careful to make sure to keep the ferret away from the rabbit. I decided to wait for now. So litter training, leave the bun bun in the cage with the litter they sell at the pet store put it in a little box (they sell plastic ones) and then keep the bun in there for majority of time but take out to play. They will learn that’s where they potty. If they have accidents, put back in the cage. Took a few months with Theo, but now he knows!

Nacho free roams the whole main floor and goes to his cage for food, water, poops and sleeping. He loves chilling in his cage and free roaming. It's all up to Nacho.
