Eric, are you the only true fish head in Wisconsin??? I never see any other fisherman in your videos. Blows my mind🤯. Anywhere in Oregon you would have 40 other boats in the middle of your operation. Good on you for getting out there brother! You are a beast!
After 30 years in Michigan I saw the beginning of this fishery. I thought it was the best in the world. Then I moved to NW Oregon in 1987 and found out what the difference in Ocean run wild Steelhead was. OMG! Talk about the will to survive!! We don't see numbers like that, but the amount of fight compared to what I'm watching here makes up for it. Just to give you an idea of the difference... Those lake Michigan fish are coming in with ease, where ocean run fish would take at least twice as long and be out of the water as much as they're in. Real jumpers even in cold water. That being said... I do miss catching those salmon sized brown trout with a fly. We would go out in the middle of the night to Port Sheldon when the discharge was close to shore, and absolutely kill the Steelhead, lakers and big brown trout on streamer flies. And we were catching them in knee deep water. What a blast!
I can’t believe it most of those fish could be reached from shore !!! I gotta get out there I’m gonna 1 year never seen so many steelys!!! Hatajaa always gets it done !
Eric, I have thoroughly enjoyed you sharing your fishing knowledge. Makes me wish I lived in Wisconsin. I live in Michigan near Grand Rapids. I have alot of lures, But now I'm getting some square bills. Thank you, Lyle
You Da Man Eric...been following you for years and love all of your content and informative videos. I've learned a lot from you and have had plenty of success because of it Thanks again 👍✌
Wow that looks like a blastI so love your Vedio's I get so much useful info from you every time. i so want to get there and try it out but I'm up in Madison so not so easy but really just need to make it happen. Thanks again Eric
Nice. I just moved to Northern WI and I am pumped about getting my kayaks out in Green Bay for some near shore fishing. Yeh, the Spring Walleyes are everywhere too, but there's much more than that out there if one isn't afraid of the cold! Great video and information Eric.
Awesome video for those who can fish off a boat and go find the fish with live scan. For those who are stuck to the shore or pier... Ya get what's only there at most.
You are so lucky to have that great trout fishery! I fish Lake Ontario and it has just been getting worse and worse every year for trout. They did away with stocking domestic rainbows which has hurt us trout fisherman. May have to book you one of these winters and give it a try!!
Damn I'm jealous Eric living on the other side of lake Michigan and got pictures of fish but no lake brown trout off the pier I'm crushed. But still looking!
Just stumbled across your video / channel. New to harbor, shore steel head, salmon fishing etc. Havent caught one yet but still trying. Wonder if you could help with a struggle im having? Ive noticed soooooo many different ways to fish for these fish. I know a lot is personal preference but i also get a lot of o no you fish with spawn in spring on the bottom or 2' down or spinners, bla bla bla bla. In the fall same thing crank baits, worms, wax worms, bla bla bla bla. Maybe its just my frustration of not hooking up yet. Maybe just a basic spring, fall approach video. Then obviously throw the kitchen sink at em!! Appreciated....👍
I have been fishing spoons with 40 lbs braid and about 8 feet of 10lbs fluorocarbon . Why doea it matter what line you use above the leader? I wasn't sure the reason you switch to mono in the winter? Also do you think the 40 lbs braid is hurting me vs lighter?
Does anyone know what time of year is best for shore fishing for brown/steelhead trout in Racine? I’m looking to go sometime before Christmas but not sure if it’s worth it
Entertaining, yes. Thank you. Although I would be very happy to see you wearing a life jacket while fishing alone. If you lost your balance and fell in (stuff happens), I don’t know if you would have the strength to get back in your boat after only a few minutes in that super cold water.

Awesome content! Hope to hit it this weekend!
Great video, how late into the winter will this technique work?
I gotta get out there from shore...need to catch a streely
Eric don't ever say never I only fish on shore :)
Great video, any ice down there yet ?
I gotta go hit it! Still haven't landed anything bigger than a bluegill this year, lol. Maybe one of those crankbaits will get it done?
Damn I'm jealous Eric living on the other side of lake Michigan and got pictures of fish but no lake brown trout off the pier I'm crushed. But still looking!
nice job!
Eric, Are the trout in shallow water because it’s warmer near the shoreline? The KvD 1.5 square bill works great.
Nice catch, which trika rods are you using 7 or 7"6 med action?

What sonar are you using in the bow?

How much do you charge for one person to fish with you?
LFG!
how are they Steelhead if they dont live in the ocean and then run into rivers etc. Would those not just be nice big rainbows ?
🙌💪
what about casting a jerkbait?
Assom video
