Consumer concerns about “unfair commercial practices” such as charging more than the initial fare, ride cancellation, surge pricing have prompted the government to take action against cab aggregators like Uber and Ola.
An Ola Cabs passenger in Mumbai, who filed a case against the ride aggregator for its overcharging policies, has been awarded a compensation of Rs 15,000.

You can still report that particular ride. They have the data of your revised and fare showing before aswell. They'd compensate
This happened for me 3 times, however they compensated when I reported
Tip: If you're in a hurry, no need to call the customer care there itself. Just pay the amount to the driver and then talk to the customer care after reaching home. They will refund the amount as Credits which you can use in your next ride.

Uber is worst service provider. It books ride and after picking up the customer on the way the app changes pick up point to some other place and charges very high fare. This has happened with me many times. The company is looting customers

But these fucking drivers don't accept uber credits or uber cash... they ask me first if it's cash or ola money or uber cash.. if I reply it ola money or uber credits.. they just cancel rides
If you get refund then it will be deducted from driver not from uber or any platform so why to do bad with middle class person who's doing hard work

They do it deliberately, and the fact is that almost nobody raises issue. But if someone raises issue, they are damn quick to refund. It happened 2 times with me.

Not everyone can lodge the complaint! People use these cabs regularly and don’t have time to call CC every time. There should be a permanent solution for this type of scam

Hi I want to share my recent experience with ola. I booked an auto, Mera bill ₹140 aya for 4kms, mene 200 ka note diya, he returned ₹50 only and he literally ran. Yaha baat ₹10 ki nhi, it's about the greedy behaviour of auto, ₹10 me Mahal banalega.. after that mene customer care me complaint kiya, they replied vo kuch nhi kr skte. #OLA fraudsters. Ese driver hi toh kuch peso ke liye crime bhi kr dete hai. Mujhe ₹10 nhi cahiye but scam wali feeling hoti hai. Ager customer ride cancel krde toh heavy fine lagadete hai but customer ko Achi service nhi denge. Very bad #don'tuseola #olascam

OMG. THANKS A LOT FOR THE VIDEO. This happened to me 2 weeks ago on UBER. I just saw your video right now and immediately try to put a complaint on Uber just to see how they will respond. And just within one hour they refunded the extra charged amount in uber cash. Thank You once again for the video. Keep posting. Keep educating...

@@poojatiwari623 you must go to your trip history, select the trip for which you were charged extra than what it showed while you booked the ride. Then there will be an option to put the complaint, then write it to them just like how I did and they will repay the extra charged amount in to your uber wallet. If it happens with you multiple times then do no hesitate to complain every time.
This is quite improbable. You can't reach their customer care 🙃

The same happened with me some one week before, ride started with rs 436 and at end it was rs553. I paid initial amount online and rest cash with a small argument with ola driver..but later on I raised a complaint (option available with in the app)..and I got my extra money back with in two minutes..
It happens every time, but because I am in a hurry I can't fight him for 10-15 rupees

Same happens with me.. you need to select ride,select the date you have taken the ride and submit . They will contact you back via their app. My ride was for 290 and I have charged 1180.. stupid services

Traffic jam होने पर अलग से पैसा लगता है क्योंकी इसमें ड्राइवर का फ्यूल जायदा खर्च होता है कभी भी बिना कारण एक्स्ट्रा लार्ज नही लगता अगर टाइम से आप अपनी जगह पर पहुंच रहे हैं तो कोई अलग चार्ज नहीं लिया जाता
The issue is not that Ola and Uber are refunding the amount instantly, but they are refunding the amount in your Ola/Uber wallet and not your bank account, which is not cashable or transferable to your bank account. This tactic helps the company in making sure that the customer does not uninstall the application as in a way, the money is stuck in the application wallet, and you continue using the app in fear of not losing that money.

I'm doing it form the past 2 Yrs... Ola/Uber always did that on intentionally. I have to raise complaint every time on Uber app and they provide me a refund.

One of my friends book a cab for me and when i reach the price was increased by 3 time and i was shock for that.
I called that friends and ask him she also shock after she check her app. I paid whole money for the ride. Thats was so expensive for me .
You should have complained, this happened with me too then i complained about the driver and they gave apologies and refunded all that extra money.

This exactly happened with yesterday morning. I n my siblings booked an ola which showed 102. But when we reached and handed him 102 he argued saying 40 rupees extra.
Stating the same excuse as in the video, we ignored and paid him.
The fare changes if there is more wait during traffic or if an alternate route is taken increasing the distance. The price shown on the app is just an estimate..

Being a Software Engineer at Ola, let me tell you what is this. The fare you get before starting the ride is called estimated fare and this is different from actual fare. Actual fare is calculated on the basis of different factors such as high demand, busy area, shift timing etc but one more thing is also there which is called driver editable fare which means driver can edit the actual fare upto +- X rupees and that fare is also reflected on customer app l. For example driver editable fare is set upto +- 50 rupees then driver can either add or subtract the actual fare by 50 rupees.

To fare to badhega hi, tumhare liye rout change karna kyu ki route me traffic tha. Waise bhi customer ye dekh nahi pata, usko lagta hai ki driver ki galti hai. Booking timr fare ESTIMATE FARE hota hai, fixed fare nahi

मेरे संग भी दिल्ली में ऐसा कुछ हुआ था,मै दिल्ली एयरपोर्ट पर ओला बुकिंग किया, दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन के लिए जिसका किराया 480रु बताया बुकिंग करते समय, लेकिन मै पहले ही मेरे मन में पता क्या हुआ,मै एक स्क्रीन शार्ट लेकर रखा था,ओला ड्राइवर मेरे से बिच में मोबाइल मांगा मे दे दिया और बुकिंग मैसेज उडा दिया,जब दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन पर पहुंच गया तो बोल रहा है,860 रु किराया हुआ, तोड़ी देर सुनते रहा है और बोला जुता खोलकर इतनी मारगे कि गाड़ी चलना छोड देगा
Yes it happens , but it's fare. During your ride booking, you check only cost , but it's your mistake only. You didn't checked the time and distance and traffic conditions. If they gave 100rs for 1km during booking , but while boarding car, traffic worsened and it costs the driver 100rs or 150rs for 1km. In this situation , who's gonna pay for that ???

Mumbai wala case was different. In that case drivers were cheating the customers not the company.
Ola's driver is not at fault in this problem. If you have any problem from anywhere. In order to pay the bill, you must contact the customer care.If you do not have time to talk to customer care due to bill increase, then driver also does not have time to argue with you, we are also waiting for another booking.
