Old video but ty for seemingly being the literal only person on youtube that actually explains how your suppose to use lures cause not all of us had/have a in life teacher.
I really appreciate that your dad goes fishing with you so much. My Grandfather used to fishing with me all the time and I miss him so much. Thank you for being real and educational.
@@Timeren2010 no i don't think he means throw it into the ocean. Im preety sure he means as you dispose of it. As in throw it away, if its cut up it wont be a tangled mess for any critter.
@@MrUKFred some local Mom and Pop bait/tackle stores might do something similar in the U.S . But I havent heard of any organization/charity in the U.S, that wants my old fishing line. @@MrUKFred yeahs in FL(a lot of fishing here) there’s a lot of stands for old line and old fishing gear that you don’t want so you can dispose of it, but some people are careless but what can we do about it, just do our part!
Amazing talk about keeping fish here for the future. Everyone spread the word about releasing fish and limiting what you keep. SenkoSkipper u earned my subscription😁
Im from Australia, and fish mainly rivers for our native fish. I love your vedios because its cool to see how people in America target fish and the similarities and differences between targeting methods. My favourite method is catching fish on surface lures, especially Murray Cod ( native river fish) 😏👍
Thanks again for all your advice. I’ve honestly had to figure most of this out over the years by trial and error. Sometimes by watching to see what other people were using. UA-cam is a wonderful thing for this information and You and Your channel is probably my favorite. Keep up the Great work. Promoting the fun of Fishing and looking after our environment too.
I really enjoy your positive look towards ocean life preservation. I usually don't comment, but like your videos and how you explain things. Thank you.
Thanks. Your video helps a lot. Wish we have someone we know that can teach us in person. My kids wanted to try fishing and both my husband and I know nothing about it. Last time we went we didn't know what to do but hope for luck and of course got nothing. Now watching your videos with my kids to learn more before we go again next time.
Sir Brendon, ur explaination is soo clear i didn't have to rewind the video to understand everything u say. Amazing. Its really helps, maybe someday i could use that to technique thanks a lot
What a great video format, examples of different rig types and uses, small starter kit and how it works, examples in action, love it. Even touched on ocean conservation ❤
I haven't fished since I was very little, but I have wanted to relearn. Thank you so much for your videos! I have found them very informative, and I also appreciated your warning about cutting up lines and only keeping fish if you intend to eat them! I look forward to watching more of your videos!
Skipper...you have taught me sooo Much about all types of saltwater fishing..just watched your black and purple night time lure video. Keep up the great work..Ill be tuning in... PS: your wife is a rip..love her
Awesome! If you found this helpful you gotta check out my website, I custom make a ton of gear to help you with your next fishing trip! www.heyskipperfishing.com
Just subscribed to your channel. I have been an avid fisherman all my life and I love that you have created a channel to share and explain your passion of fishing with the masses. Great channel!
Very good totorial. Ligit. Thanks for doing such a great job. I fished commercially for years. You are right on the money. I'm going to use this for teaching young beginners. Thanks well done!
I appreciate the time you take to inform people about different fishing techniques. Above all I appreciated the fact that you inform people not to kill each fish they catch especially small fry. In the past I was a keen fisherman but now I don't have much time for fishing. I would like to try the sabiki rig and I agree although I never used it that 2/3 hooks are enough as I used a similar one with live shrimps. Keep on posting and best regards!
Thank you! Single mama here and been taking the kids to the pier to fish. Learning everything on my own. No luck tonight. Got a lobster for a min but lost it. We go to the Santa Monica Pier in California. My new love...fishing!
Thank you for caring about the ocean. The sea and every creature in it is a gift from the creator and we should love and protect it. You have earned a subscriber.
Thank you for the tips. I was able to catch 2 Spotted Sand Bass with the Soft Plastic tips off of Shelter Island Pier in San Diego Ca. I caught my first Spottie within the first hour. Thank you brother.
Great video - and I do agree with your last statement about fishing - basically - eat what you kill and release everything else ( handling them properly)
Thank you for that statement at the end. It infuriates me when I see people keeping every single thing they bring up out of the ocean. They'll say "I don't eat them, I'll probably just give it to friends/family/etc" and you know damn well they're just going to freeze it until it's no good anymore. I get people asking me all the time "you're not keeping it?!" when I catch a small bass or something. Wtf am I gonna do with one tiny fish?
Very great vid. great information very generous guy giving away all the information we need.. one of the most important thing about fishing is the technique of dealing with the rod the three was you showed in the beginning of the vid. once again thank you very much and God Bless you and the family and your friends
Such a great video. Headed down to Miami for a vacation and looking to get on some pier fishing but i’m huge freshwater guy from Michigan. Perfect info my man!
Thank you so much for encouraging viewers not to kill fish they do not eat. Also, people can remove or flatten the hook barb if they are not fishing to eat as the hook without a barb damages the fish much less.
With braid I also like the clinch knot. But a tip is to make three or four simple overhand knots afterwards. It doesn’t hurt anything to do this on braid but will help with knot slipping undone. Leave a little longer tag end than usual as well on the swivel. A drop of superglue is a bonus.
I like that you're talking about preserving nature, but when you suggest that we should cut up our line it can be seen as it then is ok to cast in the water. Bring used line home and dispose of it in a safe and eco friendly way. Love your channel. And I love you, Erin and your father as well. You're very professional. Best regards from Norway
good video. i especially like that, towards the end of your video, you give a heads up about being environmentally aware. really never see that in any other videos.
I would recommend circle hooks always. Your hooks you use look ,not so good,I'd love to send you some Hawaii style circle hooks, they the best in the world.

Blessed. I like how you mention about throwing back fish that ppl don't or won't eat, and proper disposal of line.
Completely agree. Solid video and advice.
What does the live bait count into tho..
I’m surprised you only have 80k subs, you make super high quality informative videos and I can honestly say you helped me catch some big fish
Love your message!!! Love your wife too! She's what we fishermen call a "Keeper"!!! God Bless you and your family!!! Keep up the good work!👍👍👍🐟🐟🐟
Great video and I loved the message at the end of it. SO true! We need to protect the environment so we can keep having a hobby!
Except for the part where he said, "cut the line up", and as i understood it, throw it in the ocean.....thats just fucked up.

That PDF. Genius, such a good idea for the channel. Way to be innovative!
Where did you find the PDF file?
