First Time in Estonia | 48 Hours in Tallinn

- Welcome to Tallinn everybody! This is our first ever experience of Estonia :)
It feels so good to finally be exploring Estonia - we got so close to seeing it this year with our trips to Russia and especially to Finland - so glad we could finally make it work.
We started our day at one of the most beautiful lookouts in Estonia, the Kohtuotsa lookout and the Patkuli viewing platform. From there we walked around the upper level of the walled city before making our way to ROST Bakery for some cinnamon scrolls and hot chocolates.
From there we went to the old town square to see the Christmas markets which are on till the middle of January if you want that European Christmas feel.
That evening we had a super unique medieval dinner at Olde Hansa with traditional meals and music.
The next morning we went to down below the Maiden’s Tower and Kiek in de Kök to get the best views of the city.

Tallinn was one of the most amazing places I have been so far and we also visit the restaurant, because I am a huge fan of medieval times. So cool.

Tallinn is much bigger than just the Old Town! Plenty of Soviet history to explore as well :)

Except that Tallinn is absolutly crowded by tons of people from the cruise ships in summer
And the Island Saaremaa has alot tourists in the summer

Tallinn is much much better than Helsinki) I was in both cities and I can assure you.

I went to Valtic states about one year ago❄️from Japan! It was amazing and so beautiful! Especially, Estonia. I could take lots of pictures with freezing white birds at Kohtuotsa Vaateplats. And also the're many fashionable souvenir shops and good restaurants. I hope I'll go there again someday. This video takes me back✨Thank you!

I was captivated by Estonia's rich history and stunning landscapes.

My man also mentioned medieval times and “the first century” in the same sentence.
Medieval time wasn't endless hunger and famine. There were good times and bad times. Those, who lived in stone buildings inside Tallinn city walls (including that very same building where today "Olde Hansa" operates), were upper class and barely experienced any hunger at all. Peasants and servants lived in wooden houses outside of city wall, their options were different.
Tallinn is just as beautiful and nice and magical as it seems,I travel there a lot😍 AND,go taste the pancakes at Kompressor in the old city,they are soooo good!!
Olde Hansa (that medieval restaurant at 4:50) is one of those places that quickly would seem like a classic tourist trap, but in reality it really is amazing! I've been there many times, always when I'm in Tallinn, it's a must visit, highly recommended! The atmosphere is so unique, candle lights, live medieval music with real old instruments. Also try their honey beer, it's delicious!

I was so excited to see this video! I’m planning a Finland trip and was going to take the ferry over to Estonia but wasn’t sure if it was worth it, now I’m definitely going !
Tallinn is far more interesting then Helsinki and cheaper
Nicole Koz I definitely recommend the ferry from Finland to Estonia. We did it earlier this year and it was great! Tallin is also one of my favourite cities in Europe
Estonia is worth to visit. Rent a car and drive around. We did it and it is so pretty and you can have a bug for yourself of course if you get up early.

Of course this isn't all of our city, there are other areas as well. And they have interesting features. But the Old Town is the best one in this perspective :).

Estonia is most certanly not one of the smallest countries in Europe lol. Smaller countries are: The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonië, Moldavia, Andorra, Switserland. Great video nevertheless. I'd love to visit Talinn one day
