I actually really love my apollo neuro. I have had it for a year. I paired it with my fitbit to measure my HRV and I did notice it made a difference. It's definitely not an end all and I pair it with other things. I take lemon balm, adaptogens and I just bought some passionflower I wanna start taking.... but I do find the wristband to be an effective tool that's quite unique. I also do EFT (tapping) and breathwork. I make reishi decoctions sometimes for heart palpitations if I have been particularly stressed out.... but yeah I definitely think the wristband was worth the money and I use it everyday. Maybe some people would disagree and prefer other methods for their anxiety treatment.... but it works well for me. It helps me calm down quicker after a panic attack and helps me get through anxiety better. It also does help me sleep better as well. Funny thing though I bought the black one and I tend to wear it on my ankle cause it feels in the way on my wrist. So anytime I'm wearing a dress and I can't just hide it under my pants legs... it makes me feel like I look like I have an ankle monitor on. 🤣 So I do have to be careful with what I wear. I don't like wearing in where it shows to dressy events so I use the band extender and wear it on my thigh under my formals.... like where I would wear my firearm. So I love the opinions!
The benefits are seen a lot more with my mom who has parkinsons with emotional regulation. She has emotional breakdowns and cries uncontrollably sometimes. I used the apollo neuro to calm her down and it works within about 1 minute or so to help her stop crying. It also helps her a lot with anxiety and even panic fatigue.

Wow, great to hear another opinion on this! I don't really get "anxious" like I used to anymore (thanks, in part, to a lot of the other stuff you named) so I'm mostly just using it for sleep. But I'm glad it's been working so well for you, and especially working for your mom so fast!

@@tylerjellis I love your Channel here and thank you for your work. It's so good for people to have alternatives for anxiety. So many people are affected by it and don't really know what to do. So thanks for having so much great information here that can help people like me who are trying to figure out how to manage their anxiety. I am my mom's main caregiver and that can be very stressful... so I have been beefing up on all my anxiety tools. Haha I really loved your video about passion flower! I found it to be so helpful. I bought some of my own and am about to start trying it. Wish me luck! Haha 😄

I am glad you mentioned that I have a health with the neck. I did some damage in the c5 c6 area and the pain flares up and makes me very uncomfortable and emotional issues.
I am definitely buying and can’t wait to see what it does it for me.
I am glad it’s helping your mom.

Thank you very much for this review! 😊 Considering. Cost is a factor.
Made me laugh when you said that the sleep mode felt like a cat purring against your wrist. Got that part covered already. Because i have a cat (Cookie) who snuggles right up against me when I sleep and purrs, purrs, purrs! 😂 ❤ It works! Comforting! 💤 😊

How would you say the Apollo Neuro compares to the Neuvana Xen? I did watch your Xen video as well, but curious how you feel they compare since you've had hands on time with both.

    • @tylerjellis
      @tylerjellis  Рік тому +1

That's a tough one! I like both products, but I think the real value comes from using either of them consistently. So I think my answer is... it depends which one you can see yourself using every day.
Would you be more likely to plug the Xen headphones in and listen to sync it to your music each day? Or would you be more likely to slap the Neuro wristband on and let it do its thing for a while?
Personally, I find myself resisting less to using the Neuro. But this is probably because I've been spoiled by Airpods and don't really use wired earbuds anymore. I find it easier to just put the wristband on and fall asleep; but it'll totally depend on your own habits.

Very reasonable way of thinking about it, I appreciate your perspective! Agree that the Apollo Neuro seems like it’d be easier to integrate into daily life.

I’m considering getting the Apollo Neuro and I found your video when looking for reviews. I see this video is a year old and am wondering if your opinion has changed any about this device. Thank you!

Hey! Thoughts are pretty much the same, although I don't use mine very much. To be fair though, the reason I don't use mine is because I don't deal with much anxiety these days, so I don't really "need it."
However, they recently started offering a subscription service called SmartVibes that claims it detect when you're going to wake up, so it can activate and help you get more/better sleep, among other things. It can also integrate with Oura Ring. I haven't tried SmartVibes myself, so I'm also curious what others experiences are.
I'd also really like to do a long-term experiment on HRV and sleep quality using a health tracking device soon... I just hate subscriptions. 😅

My Apollo Neuro broke after 13 month of use and they were not flexible regarding their 1 year warranty coverage. $400 is extremely expensive for what is essentially a disposable device.

I don’t think this is anything but a soothing distraction for a lot of money. They have a breathing teddy bear for babies that may be just as soothing…..it might look strange though strapped around my ankle. 😊😊😊
