  • Apollo Neuroscience is a wearable device that was developed by neuroscientist Dr. David Rabin and it uses gentle vibrations to influence your nervous system to help you reduce stress, enhance your physical performance and recovery, improve your sleep quality and increase your heart rate variability (HRV).
I’ve been leveraging Apollo’s touch therapy since the summer of 2020 and documented my experience in my in-depth Apollo Neuro review (michaelkummer.com/health/apol.... For this article, I decided to take a deep dive into the science behind four of Apollo’s top purported health benefits, including:
    - Better nervous system regulation
    - Increased HRV
    - Enhanced performance and recovery
    - Improved sleep quality
My goal with this video is to take a critical look at the scientific evidence and to see how that matches up with my hands-on experience.

But I feel like you didn't explain how it actually works. How is the touch stimulation delivered? Are they electrical pulses? What frequencies?

@@MichaelKummer why would I watch all your videos? If you've explained it, it should be on the video that is labelled ‘the science behind’, or otherwise link to the relevant timestamps on your other videos

@@MichaelKummer I checked the video. In the first section labelled ‘how it works’ You don't have an explanation as to how the vibrations are created and what frequency they are. Nor is there any scientific explanation for the link between vibration and stress for example. Additionally a) HRV doesn't always indicate accurately, whether someone is stressed emotionally or no, b) placebo could cause changes in HRV. You also didn't show the brainwave charts as far as I can see.

The stimulation is delivered via vibrations, similar to how your cell phone vibrates using magnets. The frequencies differ depending on the selected protocol (Apollo calls them Vibes). Apollo has an entire section with studies that go into more details on how the device was used for certain use cases: apolloneuro.com/pages/science?ref=nav

@@MichaelKummer I checked these already. None of them say which frequencies they are.

My 6mobth old Apollo is useless due to a well known issue of becoming suddenly super loud vibrating rattling buzzing. I paid more than $359 cdn plus shipping and huge customs because I believed all your false advertising. Apollo Neuro is obviously a scam.

    • @MichaelKummer
      @MichaelKummer  Місяць тому

First of all, no product is immune to defects or malfunction and experiencing does not mean there was false advertising or scamming involved. Saying that is just ridiculous. Additionally, Apollo comes with a 12-months warranty. If you're within the warranty period, reach out to Apollo support and they'll take care of you.
Besides, we've been using several Apollo devices within the family for years and never had or heard of this "well known issue."
I hope you're not referring to the noise Apollo makes when you turn it (so it starts vibrating) on and place it on a hard surface. If that's what you're referring to, it's not a known issue. Apollo is merely working as intended.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're a troll because none of what you say makes any sense.

Not a troll just a customer whose appollo stopped being usable after 6months due to a well known defect making it rattle and buzz so loudly it is impossible to wear it. I wonder why your reaction to this news is so strong?

@@gruntled_ca For all the reasons I explained in my comment. Nobody likes it when a product stops working. How that is related to false advertising is beyond me. Did I advertise a product guaranteed to be free of defects? No, I did not. Does a defect automatically mean the company behind the (defective) product is scamming you? Obviously not. Plus, you're within the warranty period. So why not just reach out to Apollo and file a claim like any other reasonable person would do? All your arguments defy logic and rational behavior, leading me to believe you're acting purposefully.

@@MichaelKummer I guess you don't know that the warranty is only 3 months for refurbished units. There is no indication that a >$300 CDN refurbished model (plus large customs and shipping for those outside the US) will only actually last 6 months. The problem that stopped my unit from working is very well documented online and the Apollo rep who I spoke to told me that the problem occurs if the unit is used on high settings -- but there is no warning stating that any settings are unusable. Myself, I would have appreciated having this information before making what was a major purchase for myself ... which is why I wanted to let others know. It is a shame this information feels so personal to you.
