Great video just made my 1st dyi saddle and this video helped me!
very helpful video. I just purchased a sit drag and may use some of these ideas. Thanks, Scott
Thanks for the video. I'm trying to get into saddle hunting. Already have 4 LW sticks and a rock climbing harness. Got a sit drag on order. Still trying to figure out what to do for a platform, how to pack everything and exactly how to do the climb and setup. Also trying to learn about possibly doing rope mod and aider to my LW sticks. Found my way over to saddle Hunter and signed up but having a bit of trouble kind of finding beginner stuff. Thanks for the great videos.
check out saddle hunter on facebook.
Very cool rig. Thank you
wow look at that thing. saddle game has come a long way lol.
First time seeing this video, and you've come along way, Sir! I pretty much bought everything for my Phantom from Tethrd! #TethrdNation
Love it. Thanks for the support!
Great video!- noxninja
Thanks for the content.
Keep up the good work.

Bravo !
Sweet mods! There's a YT video where you can learn to do a locked brummel on both ends of your bridge, if you're interested. I'm not savvy enough to link it, but you're surely smart enough to find it! With a $40.00 rock harness you'd be bomb proof! Hunt safely, my Friends!
Do you pair the sit drag with a rock harness
How fun is that, Ok, Im in, Im old, but this looks like a ton of fun to me. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed week my friend. Excellent video. PS, do any of you guys hunt with a crossbow, a normal size crossbow, not like the tine 2500 ten point reverse style super limbs, I have a normal size one, wondering how much tougher it would be to use. With age, and shoulder injuries, bows are much tougher than they where when I was a kid.
Thanks again and have a blessed week my friend.
Dale
I've never used a crossbow, but I have hunted with a rifle. Probably not much different.
Made one recently and been hunting with my center point 370 crossbow. Works fine and great that you can brace your arm on the bridge for more stability.
Not sure if this has bee in asked before but sewing, did you sew by hand or use a sewing machine? Thanks, Spaniard OUT
Hey man, I love your videos and I've been learning a lot about building a DIY saddle. I'm in the process of building mine and getting my setup together so I can practice this spring and summer. But what kind of thread are you using when sewing molle strips onto your saddle?
I used Guttermans polyester thread. You could probably also use Upholstery thread. The molle loops don't hold much weight so the thread's not all that important.
I bought the thread at Walmart, but I'm sure you could get it on Amazon or a fabric store like Hobby Lobby or JoAnn
Ok cool man, thanks. Was it a specific strength thread, or just any kind of thread?
This might help. I'm a terrible seamstress lol.

Thanks man!
were do you get the blue still rope at trying Fing some. is it hollow inside. thk
Amsteel Blue. I get mine at ReddenMarine.com
Would you suggest integrating this with a climbing harness or is it safe enough probably on its own?
Climbing harness just to be safe.
u gotta video on how u climb and setup? thanks
it's in the works. subscribe if you haven't already so you get notified when I post it.
why did you do the fixed bridge? it is a good Idea, but you have to step into the seat.
I want to use one this season 2018 upstate New York. so i want to build-on like you did.
leroy blowers fixed bridge reduces weight and bulk. No carabiners or knots. I don't mind stepping into it since I put it on at the truck and wear it in.
What are the measurments/dimentions of the sit drag? Looking to make one
Not sure. You could Google Sit Drag and you'll find it I'm sure.
deer see blue very well
low-key occupational reveal at 3:07
haha yeah my ears perked up when I heard that
So you don't use a rock climbing harness while in the tree with this system?
James Marshall I didn't. I use a Tethrd Mantis saddle now.
are you on a post I sware I heard reveille in the background?
Yes. Fort Drum. Lol that was reveille.
Ha! Ha! Yeah, I caught that as well. Looks like military housing....been there done that. 30 years Navy.
No other system that light. Not even, oh, say...the Tethrd Phantom?
;-)
The Phantom is definitely not as light on the wallet.
dude send me your old sit drag!!
