Having watched some Old Laurel and Hardy over the last few nights I have to say that these two are probably the funniest comedians in the history of comedy.
Omg i haven't laughed so hard for ages. I recall an elderly lady on tv talking about meeting Mr Laurel and Mr Hardy backstage in their dressing room. She had their autographs and said they were absolute gentlemen and lovely to talk to.
*Simple clean comedy. No foul language. No sexual themes. No violence. No blood and gore. Just simple pure comedy. Today, if you don't include the bad stuff mentioned, your show is not gonna sell on TV.*
The noise of the saw blade when it goes "Twang" as it bends over his head is perfect And 3 goes with the wood plane to shave of the brush. is best ever.
Apparently Ollie was quite badly injured (torn ligament in his shoulder amngst other things) in the scene where the car collapses. When you watch closely and see how he falls, it's easy to see why.
This particular episode caused my daughter to become a bit aggressive after watching it. She was about 3 years old. There was quite a bit of violence with the slap stick - parts of it make me cringe still. Great laugh !!

The expression on Ollie's face when he emerges with the paint brush beard make me cry.

jede Szene ist durchdacht, comedy vom feinsten.
Brilliant slapstick - Ollie always seems to get the worst of it.
I wonder if Ollie ever got hurt doing those scenes?

Thumbs done honestly!!!
Was that a paintbrush that was stuck to Oliver’s chin? 😂
