@1:09 - Sorry, the 1972 was the last front chrome bumper (not 1971)
73 had a chrome front bumper but not a rear one.
72 was the last year for both chrome bumpers.
@@garymckee8857 What!? There was NEVER a corvette with a chrome front bumper and none in the back. Only the 73 had a chrome in the back and no chrome up front.
@jayhays8267 you are correct I had it backwards.
So stupid, we not only have to listen to some rediculous fake voice but they don't even have their facts straight.
Here's a must know about the C3
If you put those cool chrome header side pipes on the car.
Always warn your girlfriend when she wears a dress to be careful not to burn her nylons on the side pipes 😆
Burn your nylons?!?! I have a 72 with side pipes. I does a lot more than burn nylons. If you're wearing shorts and get out it will leave a very nasty burn on your leg....painful enough that it generally only happens once :)
Proud owner of a C3 corvette ❤
Same here, a 75 4 speed model.
@@garymckee8857 👍🏻🤩😎
Same 77 automatic
Same 81
@@midnightsun2483 1972, Steel Cities Grey. The motor in mine if from a 63 Vette, and the high rise manifold was a GM option for the Z28 in 1969.
I just bought a C3 Corvette that sat for forty years in a barn.
Gave the guy $2500.00 for it.
Thats really cool! Are all cars internals in good condition after all that time?
@@RetroRides13
So far I've gutted the interior. It had a few dead critters in it. Body and drive train all seems to be in good shape. I'm waiting on the paperwork to go through before doing any real work to it. It's a 69 with the 350/350.
@@bailey78 sounds like bargain to me! Hope you have a great time with your new car.
@@RetroRides13
I'm going to build my dream car. A little bit at a time.
@@bailey78 Good Luck!
Fact 9: look up 1963/64 Chevrolet Monza and 1964/65 Pontiac XP-833 as inspirations for Corvette body style.
Fascinating fact#12,, I owñ 4!!
What years ?
I don't remember Mannix driving a C3. He had a Dart and then went to Barracuda's.
I have a '73 4 speed and a '79 auto C3. Love them!
I knew somebody that had a 1970 Corvette Stingray with a 427.
And a 4 speed transmission And side pipes. This car was incredibly fast.
Thats fire!
@user-nh4qs6uw4e You know, you may be right. Maybe it was a 69. I do know It was built from factory for race. Had no power steering no Air conditioner. And this is how he ordered it from the factory. And also this car can take a turn. This car had incredible g. Force. And I thought my 69 GTO was fast. Well, it was fast, but the Corvette Stingray was my much faster. What a great time to be living.
Those were the days.🦊 And thank you for the correction.. Have a happy new years.
Fact 2. T-tops were not an "option". ALL Corvettes came with them. Except the convertibles, of course.
Very good video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
No Vette like a C3 Corvette
Hell yeah!
I seen at least 50 movies with a C-3 corvette appearing between scenes!
!
Fascinating fact #11 I own one
Same
Fascinating fact #12. I've owned my '72 since 1988. Holy smoke...35 years!
Nice video, and beautiful pics! One of your facts is incorrect...Just as jayhays said fact # 4 1972 was the last year for the front chrome bumper, NOT 1971
Yep thats my fault apologize for that
Based on the Mako shark show ca
Cool!
Driving anything else is tedium. 🤠
Agree!!
I had a 69 I was 19 years old it was my first car 435 horsepower I didn't care for the three twos British racing green 10 inch ansen wheels and indy tires. Some knucklehead rear-ended me and split it all the way up to the rear window got it fixed and sold as shortly after sickening!!
That is crazy I hope you were alright, what a knucklehead
Fact 2 - Every C3 came with T-Tops so how could it be a popular option?
Cabrios did not have T-Tops ;-)
Surprisingly my base 1970 convertible had a lower MSRP than the base T top model.
Every COUPE came standard with T-Tops and on the Convertible believe the idea was for the Coupe and Convertible to be about the same price if the Convertible was ordered with the optional hardtop. If the Convertible had just the soft top it would indeed be cheaper.
