Watching this movie was like a history lesson about tragedy, abuse and hope.
My mother got hit by my father when she was ironing his shirt for work. For some wack reason, he slapped her. She retaliated and burned his chest with the iron. I didn't learn how he got the burn until I was in high school.
Yeah I was sad that she would even need to protect herself from her husband (who’s supposed to love and care for her) in the first place. but it was still cool to see her give Ike a taste of his own medicine
