Star Trek: Klingon
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 сер 2013
- This episode is from the 1996 Interactive Movie game "Star Trek: Klingon".
Written by Hilary Bader, directed by Jonathan Frakes, and featured music by Gregory Smith.
It is presented in first person like a FPS game, though it was a "decision" game, where you watch the action and make decisions at key points.
You assume the role of Pok, a young Klingon about to undergo the Rite of Ascension.
The celebration is interrupted, however, when Pok's father is killed during an assassination attempt on Gowron's life.
Gowron and Pok then swear a blood oath to find the killers and bring them to honorable justice.
Klingons: Part Celtic warrior, part Viking, part Samurai, part KISS band member, part king crab.
Part Mongol, too. Seriously, John Colicos said 'let's make them look like futuristic Chinggis Khaans.'
Ferengi are small baby....(at less they are scamers)
read the closed captions for klingon ... warning ... wear a diaper ... you will be laughing your butt off and may just wet yourself
Definitely some Spartan in there too
Laughed out loud at your comment.
Gowron’s crazy eyes made this whole thing great. Like, you look into his eyes, you don’t see stupid. You see CRAZY. Absolute madlad
I loved Gowron every since he joined TNG and earlier shows. His eyes are what make him bad ass and his acting is the best of a Kligon acting! Added with J. G. Hertzler...EPIC acting!!!
Agree ... I also really liked James Worthy from the L A Lakers. He played a very stoic Klingon with a killer 'Thousand-yard' stare that cut right through you. ^v^
I never liked Gowron. Those popping eyes are too disturbing to me!
This is some serious Trekkie level detail.
I ain't lyin', I started crying when they read the warrior poem for the old Klingon.
"There's no crying in Klingon!" Tom Hanks as Jimmy Dugan, (A P'tok league of their own)
Mine was when they broke into the Klingon anthem
@Taproom113: "Hardly conclusive, Mr. Scott, as Klingons do not have tear ducts." -Spock, Star Trek VI
Aw ya daft thing, it's only pretend!
The whole Pakled/Gowron bit gets me every time! "You must come aboard our ship to explain why you can't come aboard." "Yes, I can do that. I will come over and explain." And that look Gowron has just before, I'm lmao!
And honestly, the respect shown to the old warrior later on was very touching.
I like to think what IQ he lost just to speak to a pakled was regained after getting the information. Or just inflated his ego
@@nightshadedreams2989 Probably both.
I remember playing this game back in 96 or 97, Damn brought back a lot of good times from the past. I hope they bring back the new Star Trek with Worf.
Video game related nostalgia is better than crack.
When I see GTA Vice City on UA-cam..
I HAVE only heard rumors and stories about this game...this is actually really good. I almost want to see a Klingon centered Star Trek series right now.
i wanna see a 3 part movie on the kilngon war
I had the star trek Borg game.
But then my father changed from windows 95 to windows x & after that I couldn't play it anymore
Klingon table manners, you gotta love 'em! lol
awesome what he did for the old warrior in honoring his past. ...you can tell he was deeply touched by the gesture.
Ah the feel's of the old guy getting his respect.
It is such a shame they turned Gowron into a prat during DS9. He was one of the best.
A prat is an idiot; a misguided fool. it is also unfortunately a surname, so no disrespect to those who hold it. My point was that I didn't much like how Gowron was changed for DS9.
To be fair, he started to be a jerk already during TNG when he began rewriting the Klingon history books and made Picard wait for his reply for days.
he wasnt EVIL in DS9
he was just a politician...
Oh ok... sorry for quibling over semantics.
I loved in the episode of the house of quark when quark was explaining something about economics to gowron and the high council.
The confusion on their faces made me laugh
Aliens are the fallen angels from the bible pretending to be aliens, seek God Jesus and repent before it's too late.Study the bible and follow the Commands of God Jesus to love the lord your God with all your heart ,mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.Hell is real and you don't want to go there. Therefore seek and follow God Jesus.
This is awesome. Maybe one day we can get a tv series focusing on the Romulan and Klingon perspective but I guess it has been too long. I can hope though.
+HamanKarn567 ask them if you can make one.
i kinda had that idea long ago Xd
+HamanKarn567 New series is in the making!
+HamanKarn567 I think so to, it's getting better with age, kinda cheesy but perfect for the period.
Haman Karn the Klingons are passionate, batteries of emotion. The Romulans and Vulcans are practically robots that would make for poor storytelling
Watching UA-cam's subtitles interpreting Klingon....priceless.
+Jorganti
I never even thought to look!
Thank you!
Hilarious!
@@krisguntner4805 my mates throw cake......rofl

Geez my comment was two years ago! :O
we'll push shot - your hair looks wrong!
the joys of being old ... octogenarians come equipped for the subtitles ... they are already wearing diapers for the laugher that goes with them
Robert O'Reilley, the greatest actor to ever portray a Klingon - with all due respect, John Colicos.
I think JG Hertzler was superb as Martok and Martok is one of the greatest Klingons I've ever seen up there with Christopher Plummer as General Chang and Michael Dorn as Worf.
Sandro Munoz Definitely. Now Richard Hatch gets to play a Klingon in "Prelude to Axanar"
Agreed. He made me to want to be born Klingon. Instead I'm just a Patak!
@@ogdocvato too bad Richard Hatch didn't live to truly play that role.
I met Gowron in real life (the exact same actor was there) at Paramounts Great America a long time ago, in 1995 I think. He was a cool extremely smart guy.
This is the first Star Trek game to be Rated M for Mature.
OMG I had this game back then. Good times lol.
I almost forgot about this. Never got to play this when it came out. Thanks for sharing. You are honorable 👍 Qua-plah!
I really wish they had made these into a series of episodes, a show of sorts. This, Borg, and Klingon Academy were my favorites.
Kreylon: I will join you in-
Gowron: NOOOOOOOOO.
I lost it at that point and I do not know why.
The Klingon who beat the crap out of the old Klingon before Pok did is the same guy from the TNG episode "The Chase". I wonder if he got the recipe with vodka in it that he was talking about from Worf since his adopted mom's Russian?
I love how around 3:08 you can here that the klingon word for noob is noob!
"Sleep well... but sleep light."
I watch this part when I start to waiver on my diet, works every time.
Not sure how good of a game this is but it made a decent episode of Star Trek
it's an interesting game. save frequently so if you guess wrong you can do it over especially the bomb code. There is also a novel under this name that fleshes out the story. the viewer is replaced by reg Barkley and it's fleshed out with a backstory that is plausible. the story is told during meal breaks during a Klingon/Federation conference.
@@drmayeda1930 It's been two years, but do you remember the name of that book?
@@nerminc.1713 it's Star Trek: Klingon, like this game/movie here.
Chancellor Gowron son of M'Rel: "Glory to You and Your House!"
I was a big gamer on all computer and console platforms in 1996 and never saw this.
Klingons never say please or thank you to anyone. They accept an offer with superiority, responsibility, duty, and honour. They challenge someone with brazen authority and bravado. They kill only when it gives them the advantage to defeat their enemies and anyone that stands to destroy the way of the warrior.
Is that SESKA? I SMELL A CARDASSIAN SPY!
+Film Monk Productions Same actress.
SulliMike241 Sigh. That was a joke.
8:48 - "Wodka!" "Wooodka! Wooooddkkaa!" xD
The Klingon woman playing your mother... that's the chick who played Seska.
She is the one who played Grilca, who married Quark.
@@sageandcandle Nope, Mary K Adams played Grilka. Different actress.
@@terrellfirth1452 ok
She also played Subcommander T'Rul
That was amazing! I can't believe I've never heard of this before.
I played the hell out of this game when it came out.
Do they still sell this game
You might find it on ebay.
There is a site called old games .com They have a LOT of the older games, this one included. Costs a little money, but you have a way to play it, even on Win 10. (Thank you Dosbox!!!)
Totally fun to watch, I remember this, this was a really fun video game at one point I enjoyed playing.
Really cool seeing seska play cardassian, bajoran and now klingon
This is absolutely funny when you watch Gowron at the very beginning with the CC subtitles activated for English as it tries to make sense of Klingon words.
Now this is extremely awesome of STAR TREK Klingon like TOS, TNG, DSN, VOY, ENT and Feature Flims. It's gonna be a smashing blast adventure.
I PLAYED IT AND ENJOYED THE LEARNING KLINGON TUTORIAL. KAPLA BROTHERS!
The incorrect closed-captions make this even better. "If you choose wrong pub. We are prepared to die." - CC's
THIS is the movie CBS needs to make
I wonder how well the Klingon language is spoken in this game.
If I remember correctly, they had Marc Okrand on hand for translation/pronunciation so it’s as reliable as you can get.
Thanks for uploading this man !
The Klingon from the DS-9 restaurant and the Klingon married to Quark!
Best Klingons EVER
awesome. star trek. Jonathan Frakes should be put in charge of the whole franchise
l loved it , want & need more .
So admire the Klingon race .
+Jamie Kirk - FYI
Klingon is not a "race" it is a "species".
"white" "black" "Indian" etc. is a "race" within the Human species.
+John Kersten As the Klingon Ambassador said to Ambassador Sarek in defence of Commander Kruge: "We have the right to preserve our race!" ST 4: The Voyage Home.
LOL, the Qapla moment at 4:13 :D
Isn't the guy who headbutts the camera the same klingon who arm-wrestled Data in that one TNG episode?
I want to see bloopers from this :) I bet all these guys had a LOT of fun filming this stuff :)
Damn it, Robert O'Reilly. You're awesome!
Only once was this episode aired. Never included in the TNG or DS9 series discs. Finally on UA-cam
Kaplah at 4:22...LOL..couldn't stop laughing
12:08 Wait! He opened BOTH eyes! HE'S STILL ALIVE!
+Shadowkey392 Klingon anatomy......don't ask.
Aww damn, youtube improved the subtitles. The old subtitles were much funnier. Still laughs to be had with the new ones. You will no longer be weak as a car home.
Blood Pie with Vodka? Interesting.
Worf probably ate and drank that growing up
Thank you for post this. I watch it all day. Along with Star Trek: borg.
I think the older Klingon in this game is the guy who plays martok from ds9
Yes it is J.G. Hertzler aka Martok.
2:07-2:22 I've always wondered where that line came from ever since i heard it used in the Star Trek Armada 3 mod for Sins of a Solar Empire, I wonder what else they used from this.
I played this game a hundred times and never got bored
I completed this years ago, and Star Trek Borg.
Gowron seeks to weaken the great houses and make them economically dependant on quonos where house gowron holds sway while making the freed worlds view him as a hero thus guaranteeing their loyalty. I find gowrons motivations quite obvious in this
As in all of Star Trek. Sound like any world leaders you know from history? That's the beauty of Star Trek - they always succeed at getting aliens to mirror our own world's political climate to make even the wildest fantasies believable. Cold War with Klingons in the 60s, then Gorbachev -- I mean Chancellor Gorkon -- starts making peace with us in the late-80s? Then the Klingons are our allies... but the Dominion starts mindlessly threatening in the name of their "Gods" the Founders, roughly when the Taliban first begins to surface... Everything in Trek mirrors something real.
1 minute in and I'm howling with laughter. I love Gowron, but he would be a hell of a lot more intimidating if his rubber knife didn't keep wobbling about. And then when he bends it; just as he's about to stab *You!! 0:54 =D :'-)
55:18 all you need to know about Klingon's
Glory to you, and your house. Kaplah!
This is amazing ! Turn on autotranslate subtitles - and try not to choke while laughing. XD

What it means to be a Klingon...
Now THAT was awesome!!! Live long and make more videos (and prosper too, I suppose).
Director: Johnathan Frakes :)
Love how they use the fluoro pink goop for blood so they can prolly get a pg 13 or so rating, giving the game access to a wider market increasing potential sales.
This game needs a remaster
I assume the pink blood is censorship, not a actual representation of Klingon blood.
Nope, they originally did it because they thought it'd be hilarious, from what I know.
Watch the dead Klingon blink at 15:53.
RESPECT THE SQUATCH!!!!
43:50 "translation: *snickers* watch this Pok"
feel bad for the old man
Bless you for this.
Excellent I enjoyed every minute of it please make more
The necktie is lethal to most these days.
If only Jonathan Frakes directed Star Trek: Borg
Will you choose to be assimilated or to be assimilated? Resistance is futile.
Is it just me, but when Gowron is speaking to another Klingon, doesn't it sound like Cheech and Chong? "There is no honor in smoking a tiny joint. Not every man has the courage to smoke an entire baggie in one rollup. Not every man has the courage to travel the river of ganja . . . ." It would be hilarious if a bunch of these dudes sat around getting high.
CC is a bad translator, "shop be each problem" "got shot from Spanish ask for cash-strapped" "the ash not right now of Porsche of"
They remind of guys in a outlaw biker club.
And to think the Klingons were supposed to be the bad guys. Seem pretty cool to me.
Recommend rewatching with the CC on. It’s hilarious!
Apparently our name is Pork, Or, Pok, Oh, Paul, Ox, Buck, Punk, Ah, Park, Pub, Ha, Talk, Parker, Poke, Book, Pop or Puck, lol.
That was fantastic.
Great movie.. Defiantly... Honor is one of the most important values in life.
For all the ST fans out there I actually saw the job sheet for the State of Washington for a position of Klingon Interpreter. If my Klingon had been better I would have applied for it.
Seems law enforcement ran into a family that would only speak Klingon......Quite a story on this.
I have this game still... :)
I see General Martok and Seska too :)
One whole hour of Klingons vibing
Gowron..Please give us your hair and skin secrets.
this is the only star trek that shows klingon blood as pink instead of red
Also Star Trek VI.
And in the ST discovery episode Point of Light.
This was directed by Johnathon Frakes...As in #1 Commander Riker...COOL.
Never knew there was a klingon variAnt of the borg interactive game! Cool ;-)
Yup. This one was out first, actually, and was basically tied in with the popularity of the new (at the time) books and audio-cassettes that taught the Klingon language. Hence, the game has a heavy emphasis on the player learning Klingon words and concepts, and has a built-in dictionary.
Bonus salary for fluent Klingon :)
10:54 What is this Dune?
I thought the same thing.
Splendidly OTT
I still find it Ironic that Klingon Blood is Pink
And hot Pink - like a strippers G- string
I always thought of it as peptobismol
Only here and in the 6th movie, and that's considered a continuity error best ignored. Klingon blood had been seen on-screen before and since, and it was red like ours. One of the reasons was the MPAA rating - if their blood had looked human, considering how much of it was flying around at that point of the movie, the desired PG rating would have been directly out of the question.
Retro-Matic Gamer Maybe part of the plot against the Klingons on that ship was to drug them. Klingons have a mighty constitution and it would take a LOT to drug them. Enough to discolor their blood perhaps.
... yeah, I'm reaching.
Retro-Matic Gamer It was also shown in the PC - Game "The Next Generation - Klingon Honour Guard"
