A thought just occurred to me, if the illuminate were able to so easily corrupt and mutate the minds of loyal super earth citizens imagine what they could do to the empty headed terminids.

So basically it hasn't gotten bigger but the accretion disk is getting more energized. This is most likely due to it pulling in the gloom, ripping the spore matter to shreds, and energizing it on its way into the event horizon. This is extremely common for singularities of this size and they're called quasars. The only thing to worry about is if it gets so energized that it might blow out gasses from our galaxy and end up ushering in a dark age in terms of stars. But there's absolutely nothing to worry about, please focus on the war fellow helldivers.

I'm starting to think the Illuminate scout fleets we've been facing aren't scouts anymore. With the blackhole/wormhole growing, and the terminids being beaten back, the scouts could be acting as a diversion while their main force goes through the hole. Or we may see a large fleet come out of it to distract us, while the other sectors are establised as Illuminate bases. Either ways could happen as its been very easy to resist their small invasions. Would not be surprised if we face them on two fronts.
The event horizon barely changed if at all, that means the black hole didn't consume a mentionable amount of mass. Meanwhile the accretion disk grew which is to be expected due to matter passing by the black hole and not being drawn in by its gravitational pull, instead it slowly spiraling around the event horizon creating the accretion disk. This behaviour is entirely normal and to be expected.

Then more recently me and a squad went back and saw how it changed. Cinematically I imagine a big speech about persistence when they're at the black's hole after the loss, and then right as they leave the hole starts changing, mirroring the speech about enduring persistence.

Strangely enough I can see The Illuminate being able to communicate with The Terminids and understand what’s happened. Watch when in Helldivers 3 we have massively evolved Meridian Terminids.
Imagine we sent this planet back in time 100 years and then old factions come through, causing a mass merge of forces. Automatons and Cyborgs, a super Termanid Horde, 2 generations of Illuminate, and old Super Earth veterans and technologies. Of course IF they did do this we wouldn't see it for at least a year since that would mean lots of modeling, animation, completely rebuilding old bosses, vehicles, and strategems, and LOTS of optimization and bug fixes, but it would be such a fun and chaotic addition.

Has anyone else noticed how the illuminid invasions are slowly moving towards the black hole
The illuminate are heading to the black hole. Even on the new cover art the helldivers are standing infront of what appears to be the Meridian black hole
I believe the black hole serves as a guard to prevent the gloom or whatever the yellow fog is from getting closer to earth
We've probably given the Illuminate a lot of FTL fuel by sending them a planet filled with Terminids
That is one substantial and completly unrelated visual improvement that we do not have to worry about at all hahahehe
This isn't the only thing that is heppening on the map too - if you go to some terminid planets (I think the ones near the gloom) you can see the gloom encroaching on the planet.
Something tells me this next month is going to be wild.
People already commented how they're circling around us to the terminid side so after clearing the next 1-2 offenses they'll come full power out of the black hole likely
Is anyone else occasionally seeing faces on the wisps of energy around the Event Horizon?
to be fair, meridia never had proper gravitation lensing, and should have been the size of a plum if it was a black hole, the negitive mass used to collapse it is holding a wormhole open
They're moving up to summon illuminate from the black hole from 100 years ago.
I just realized something: When they did that interview video thing, the video glitched at the last part, showing a purple circle but it seemed to be too bright to be the meridia black hole. Now, I’m starting to believe they got big plans for it and I don’t like the sound of that…
Saw a theory by someone who said the illuminate are going to use the black whole as a time bridge to 100 years ago before they were defeated and pull all of their armies through.
You can also see the gloom in orbit around planets in close proxy to the gloom.
Imagine it being a portal and you get in your hellpod and fired into it to fight whatever’s on the other side
I can't see the hole itself got bigger. But it changed visually. The effect around the hole is clearly different.
Strangely enough I can see The Illuminate being able to communicate with The Terminids and understand what’s happened.
Watch when in Helldivers 3 we have massively evolved Meridian Terminids.
We won’t have to wait don’t worry.
High Command knew getting rid of the illuminate was the end goal.
This COULD just be a graphical change… however, us noticing it could now make it a thing… who knows 🤷🏽♂️

It's alright, it'll just be some friendly travelers come through and give us the blue prints for more Mine stratagems
Imagine we sent this planet back in time 100 years and then old factions come through, causing a mass merge of forces. Automatons and Cyborgs, a super Termanid Horde, 2 generations of Illuminate, and old Super Earth veterans and technologies. Of course IF they did do this we wouldn't see it for at least a year since that would mean lots of modeling, animation, completely rebuilding old bosses, vehicles, and strategems, and LOTS of optimization and bug fixes, but it would be such a fun and chaotic addition.
If they send us to a planet with all 3 factions on it fighting us and each other, it’ll be purgatory. But the victory will be most glorious
Is it just me, or does that ring of blue stuff look like that field the Illuminate shoot into the air from the obelisks on the planets they're attacking?
It'll be cool if Arrowhead makes it so that in the event that someone clis through the ship, they get dragged towards the black hole.
