    THANK YOU! This is so helpful! I'm downsizing from over 2000 sq feet plus two huge storage units to an RV. So overwhelming. I really appreciate your great ideas and organized thinking.

    Your comments about a support system is great. Some of us can’t afford a therapist or massage. That’s when you need it most, that’s when I need it most.

    Hello from Malaysia! I'm downsizing from a 1200 sq. ft. 3 bedroom condo to a 450 sq. ft. studio unit with condo facilities...I would get to save almost half of my current rent, less daily maintenance and more time, energy and money to be spent on other truly meaningful matters

    I appreciate you doing this series. You talk about removing judgement however the entire time you seem to think that the only reason we downsize is because we are getting old. This is not the case in this day in time. Many folks are minimizing and learning to appreciate people and events more than material items in their large homes. Again, these are great tips and very appreciated.

      Thanks for the comment! Your words are very true. This series is based on workshops I did specifically for the Office of Aging, hence the bias. BUt yes, the information is for anyone.

    The hardest thing I'm having a problem with decluttering is all of my linens and blankets do you have any suggestions for that

    • @ClutterBoss
      @ClutterBoss  Рік тому +2

      When it comes to decluttering linens and blankets, here are a few suggestions:
      1. Assess the quantity: Determine how many linens and blankets you actually need. Consider the number of beds in your home, the seasonality of the items, and any guests you might have. Try to limit yourself to a reasonable amount.
      2. Sort by functionality: Categorize your linens and blankets based on their functionality. For example, group together bed sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, and throw blankets. This will help you see what you have and make decisions accordingly.
      3. Quality check: Assess the condition of each item. Donate or discard any linens that are torn, stained, or have lost their functionality. Keep only the ones that are in good condition and serve their purpose.
      4. Prioritize favorites: Identify the linens and blankets that you and your family love the most. If certain items have sentimental value or are frequently used, keep them. Let go of those that are rarely used or you don't have any attachment to.
      5. Consider donating: If you have linens and blankets in good condition that you no longer need, consider donating them to a local shelter, thrift store, or charity. They can benefit someone in need.
      6. Connect with supportive communities: Decluttering can feel overwhelming, so it's beneficial to be a part of a community that can offer encouragement and guidance. Jes, expensive music equipment that I won has taken over my house. Should I donate to kids? Do not need 39 guitars in hot, dry weather. Any suggestions? During a pandemic it is so hard to let people in to paint, etc. Suggestions are so welcome. My bedroom is dangerous. Good video.

      Hi J N - Yes, donation is the best bet when it comes to quality musical equipment. I would check with your local schools - often they are so grateful for the donation!!
