Hi Kate, congratulations on reaching this milestone! The decision to go through with this surgery is very hard and takes so much effort and time, physical and mental strength. And then comes the surgery!
You have documented really well in the last 2 videos things the process in Montreal, this is really going to help people who see this and hopefully take care of some anxiety. There really is not a lot of information on this part journey out there unless you really dig. I really wish I had taken the time to journal what was happening and what was going through my mind during this, it was so extremely hard and breaking my arm 2 days before flying to Montreal in the heart of Covid being all on my own required some strong help from my therapist. That's another story but it did take away from my memory quite a bit of what was happening due to pain, anxiety, panic attacks and not being able to really take care of myself. Your video has brought back many memories for me and I appreciate it. And I am extremely happy for you, sending big hugs. :-)

Haha, I died at the "Too much quinoa!". But I'm so glad to hear your experience is going well. Hearing your stories make me so excited to go to GRS Montreal soon (hopefully this summer if the wait time is as expected). I've also been watching Rylee's videos, which is neat to know you're both there. All the best with the rest of your stay! And I must say, you look so glowing for being only a few days post-op. Can tell you're being taken care of well and in good spirits. :)

The macaroni salad last night was kinda meh but glad to help with your expectations while waiting... The time goes fast and, before you know it, you're here. Good luck 🏳️‍⚧️💛

When I was in the hospital I believe there were a couple of other vaginoplasty patients. It was weird to me we were so isolated from each other but COVID I guess. I wasn’t able to read or anything because I was so out of it from the disruptions to sleep, constant alarms going off, etc. I’m at about six months recovered now and I feel amazing!

That’s great to hear, yes it is difficult to find uninterrupted time for or not be expecting someone to come through the door.

I've watched this video before, but I find such videos overwhelming emotionally. Happiness for the person who received the procedure and my own frustration at not being there yet. Most of the time I'm pretty patient about this topic, but seeing how happy you are messes with that! lol
Congratulations, I hope it's everything you knew it would be! 😊

I'm very happy for you, Kate!!! Being and living authentically is awesome!!! Bottom surgery is also a renewal for you, in the spirit of the spring season and the forthcoming Easter! Blessings to you, Kate! May you heal and renew yourself without complications! And remember that poutine is also a healing food. PS. The condition that you described - blood pressure falling when you stand up - is orthostatic hypotension (or orthostasis).

Ok, good to know the actual name and I will have to order poutine before I leave Montreal!
