Nice find that boat is awesome.
I purchased a 1973 apache Mesa pop up trailer and it looks so nice it was garaged so it's like a time capsule. Payed 2000 and can't complain retro is better . Your boat is going to be a head turner ..

Why not leave the drain plugs functional so you can drain water out while the boat is on the trailer? Those carb covers are actually spark/flame arrestors. A necessary item for inboard boat gas engines.

I should still be able to unscrew the lights for drainage. Dont forget I'll also have bilge pumps so there wont be that much water to drain anyway. I will be able to have the lights unscrewed while its sitting in the yard on the trailer. I didnt know those were called flame arrestors. This is my first inboard. Thanks for the info.

If you don't have water on the outdrive it doesn't take very long running to burn up the water pump trust me from experience

@@zacksrandomprojects9698 The spitcock on the left side that is on the bottom of the oil coolant pump, do you keep it open or closed when operating the boat?

@@taylorward2547 Buddy I got no idea. I just got the boat a few months ago and Ive only started it a few times in the yard, a couple times before the tune up and a couple times after. I didnt mess with any valves to start it. There is a fuel pump primer lever on the port side front of the engine, thats the only thing I messed with before I started it. I can get you a better answer next time I start it. That might be a few months though. They got me working five 12 hour days and the wife has me on the weekend running. No telling when I'll get a chance to mess with it again. When I get a chance though I will look at whatever you're talking about and get back to you on here. Im sorry I couldnt help better.
