    Jameson, you really are an amazing instructor. You break each move down perfectly, take the time to address the nuance, & your movements are some of the most clean & graceful I've seen in the burner community. Excellent job, thank you.

    That's the cleanest execution of that move I've ever seen. I can't do it at all, but I've got two days off work, so here goes. :D

    Thanks for the great tutorial! I watched this while taping weights (in the form of multiple rolls of electrical tape) to the ends of my wooden practice staff.. then headed out to practice, and had it down within two hours! (did other things too, hooping, staff spinning..) Your breakdowns and reminders were incredibly helpful, I could hear you talking about the sweet spot overhead, and the curve of my first arm... my success today has me smiling!

    picking this up in 2 hours? i guess it will take me more like 4 hours, divided over a few days/3weeks. well, maybe i should have taken more breaks to rewatch parts of this tutoriel, but your tutorial was gold! the timing of release especially

    Great instructional! Loved the simple yet highly effective visual inserts for arm angles, "zones" to be in, and of course to show off the Steve face :) this is definitely going in my tutorial playlist. Can't wait for continuations

    Trust me, it makes a world of difference to use a properly designed tool. You may limit your progress, as well as train useful patterns to accommodate for a less than ideal staff. Check out our shop, consider the investment :)

    Thank you for this great tutorial! You explain this move very good and it helped me very much - still trying to master the Half Steve. Though I've one question: Does the staff ROLL your arm down or does it glide?
    Greetings, Linda

    How much do both ends need to weigh. I feel like it's not heavy enough. I just have a regular fire staff from trick concepts.

    • @FireTechnicians
      @FireTechnicians  10 років тому

      I prefer what i refer to as a 'counter weight %", of 30-50% of the overall mass of the staff, fixated on the ends. I will not support or condone the use of a TC staff, as they are not manufactured by prevalent contact staff flowologists, like myself. Buy one of mine, and you will not be disappointed!

    End the Half Steve with a palm spin. Don't catch it, let it spin on your palm. Rather easy actually.
