Many people around me think that "candy red" and "candy dreams" are different, and in fact I can find them separately on internet, but what is exactly the difference between them? Is it simply that the candy dreams has more amount of stripes?
supposedly , candy red was just the name used prior to candy dreams, when starting to ship out from non Asian market, but also should be noted some have labeled their own crosses as candy "red", which further mixed things up. I've seen xu head, candy dreams , candy red larger plants here in USA that look identical, But I've seen some that don't , it's all about the conditions it's grown in and if it's not a lookalike or knock off , that's in any case for any specimen. Size and age and conditional difference of the plant when grown, also leads to changes in its development. Unless you take 🧬 DNA samples and compare you can't tell difference. For some reason the Nepenthes community, really love visual observations over genetic testing 😂 why I don't know
Thanks again for this informative video. Trying one (BE-4033) on my windowsill (and have some bark ready to let it climb ;-) ). But I also have a cross with N. maxima Wavy x veitchii Bareo (from CK) .. i'm still confused, found not much info myself about Bareo vs. Bario

No differences, it's the same just mis typed or autocorrected bareo , Bario . To my understanding
@@Wiseexotics Oeps Christian will not like making a Veitchii naming mistake 🤣. Perhaps I will mention it next time we "speak/interact"
@@cajbrg 😂, whatever works. Could be mistaken translation or cursed autocorrect. Be nice to get it cleared up
