Mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!!!! Grew up eating po boy sandwiches all over. 69 years old and still can’t get enough of this!!!!!!!
What a beautiful Lady, and this tribute.
Just ate here today for the first time, so great. Family vibe and you can just tell how special this place is.
THE BEST. Period. Go there now.
I love you guys! Keep it going, please!😊
Came here from hell baby. Glad to know the place is real. Need to actually visit here now
Same!!
Man I bet Ray has some stories to tell.
The sandwich 😋
Can't wait to make it back to New Orleans & try this place. Leslie Henderson/Miss Dot
Sometimes not changing the ambiance of the place make people more like it, because you're not there just to eat you making a memories too.
Was here 2010, 😐 ruff time for you all. I was looking for authentic Nola and reception at hotel highly recommended y’all , omg! Mouth watering and loved the atmosphere, even customers were friendly, (locals) & funny! Have not had anything close to this since then. Don’t let negative Nancy’s hurt u. You have a gold mine.
I teared up 😢, when she was talking about the french bread, cause she was SO on point in describing it. I've been to places where the bread is too thick, and/or too hard which can ruin the whole po-boy eating experience.
Hot sausage & cheese is my favorite, I just have to find out if they make'em there.
any place that sells poboys has hot sausage
My wife and i are doing Po Boys In our Massachusetts cafe and truly if you don’t have that bread… it’s just a sandwich. And for what it’s worth… this woman is amazingly kind and passionate. I absolutely love this business and those Po Boys
Great video. Everyone seems so sweet and nice, I would love to go visit them and enjoy some great food and company.
Miss Dot, RIP. Raymond rules.
I WILL go here in April..
Have to
What is there not to love?!!!!
Made po'boys tonight. Nothing like yours. Looking forward to having one next time we're in town.
Hell baby lol
Hell baby
Will definitely check this place out when I visit home 😊
My kind of people. Are there any others?
Best restaurant in New Orleans, hands down. I lived there for 5 years, two of which were in grad school at Tulane. In the course of 5 years you make a lot of memories, especially in a city as unusual as New Orleans. If I went back for a visit tomorrow, my first stop would be at Domilise's. Shrimp and oyster po'boy, dressed.
Uuuuuuugh! I miss New Orleans. I want a shrimp po-boy so bad. I live in St. Petersburg, FL right now. There is plenty of good shrimp here, but nobody can make a po-boy like Domilise's, or Johnny's.
If there is a Po Boy worth dying for… it’s this one. Lol
Hope to go when down for Mardi Gras 2020
Lady d’ Navarone Hahahahaha if you try to get one during Mardi Gras you’ll be waiting for a few hours. There are places that have po-boys that are just as good that you won’t have to wait in a ridiculous line for.
I'm going to Domilise's in New Orleans to try lots of variety of Po Boy sandwiches with Zapp's NO style kettle chips for the first time ever in vacation.
NO has so many American beauties and this is surely one. Been there, done that.
Would love an oyster Po boy 😋
Gimme one of anything ! No ketchup !
The bread Is one of most important parts of po boy's. Exactly what she says light thin! Not that heavy thick nasty french bread that everyone on UA-cam is using thinking that's a po boy sandwich
For people in other cities making a sandwich using doughy type baguettes for submarines, Philly cheesesteaks, heros, hoagies and even those Antone's (in Houston Tx) sandwiches calling them "poboys" is a misnomer, none of those are AUTHENTIC POBOYS, but are only using the name for their sandwiches which they're not! 🥖😋⚜️
I'm a 5th generation Chicagoan, we love our bread with a good crust and chew, 7 years ago I moved west a few hours to Iowa and all their favorite bread is pillowy soft mush. I went to New Orleans for a week in the spring of 21 and the bread was a revelation, it has that great chew along with a soft interior that really makes an enjoyable sandwich.
This would be o e of the best places to eat the best sandwiches in the world
When me and my brother and friend Ed Kotch ate there That was the best Moffalita that I ever ate, plus I got to see Lady Gadiva lol it was Halloween so go figure I think. Good times and a great place to eat.
I miss home
Does anyone remember the two dogs that stayed around the bar at Domilise's in the early 1970s, around 1971-74? They were always sitting beside Miss Dot. German Shepherds, I think. Part of the ambiance.
I live in Charleston. There's a local restaurant in my neighborhood that has shrimp po-boys. Menu says the bread's Leidenheimer. Dressed is lettuce, tomato, mayo. Their po-boy is not Domilise's. Not by a long shot. So the other day I called one of the guys over and wrote down Domilise's name and so forth on a napkin. I told him to tell the chef to get on a plane to New Orleans, take Uber to Annunciation Street, and order a shrimp po-boy dressed at Domilise's. Study everything. Get inspired. Because back in Charleston, that ain't it.
great place!! who dat!??!
Mmmm mmm brappp
The bread puzzles me. If those are baguettes, those are terrible baguettes. It looks more like Italian bread.
