Thank you so much for this helpful video! Did not know the plastic cap around the filter inlet end can just be unscrewed until I saw your video. Was planning on loosening the metal clamp that fastens the entire inlet filter assembly to the hose, which was not going to help me gain access to the filter. Once opened, saw the metal mesh was covered with a thin layer of lint. Scrubbed it gently with some soap and a toothbrush, rinsed it off, and now it's working again. Thanks!
For those with hydroshots not working out of the box or have stopped working; Found out my trigger was misaligned (inside the hydroshot) and not depressing the valve that allows water to the pump. Had to open it, realign the trigger and now it works like a charm.
Thought my long serving 20v had finally seen its final pumps after checking the bucket filter. This video showed me the other at the quick connection. It was clogged! Now the old squirter is back to full power! Thanks and kind regards from Oxford, England.
Thank you soo much. My Hydroshot stopped drawing water today 12/15/21. I took out the screen in the handle and it still didn't work. I didn't have time to deal with it at the time so I decided to wait until I could check out UA-cam. I watched your video, cleaned out the other screen it jumped back to life. I never would have thought that the tiny bit of slime that was on the screen would be enough to keep it from working. Great fix. Great Video.
Thanks!! It is a helpful video. I use my hydroshot to wash out the trash and recycle bins and now I'll check the filters at least once a month (after every 4 trash bin wash)
Thanks for this video. Cleaning the two screens was EXACTLY the right solution that got me "up and running." It takes only a small amount of debris to create a clog.
Love this tool. Random tip - I find it easier to prime this tool if you use gravity as your friend. I use a 5 gallon bucket and will place it 5 feet above the tool before attempting to prime
You tip helped me a lot! I wasnt able to get it to self prime the hose though, so I just sucked on the hose until the water got over the edge of the bucket. Waited until it reached the end, connected it, boom. Done. Siphons, baby!
I just bought worx 320psi hydroshot power cleaner 20v. I tried until 15-20 minutes but it doesn't pull the water. I checked the filter like what you showed in this video. All are clean no debris. But. Still not pulling the water. Anything that I need to check?
Thanks for the video, nicely demonstrated. However, mine was still not pumping water even after both filters checked and cleaned. In the end it was the machine having "air lock" that caused the problem. Eventually solved but connecting to a 1.25 plastic bottle (with bottle adapter) filled with water, inverted and squeezing the hell out of it with the hydroshot running. Hope this help info help others out there too. Cheers!
I have a wg629.1 model that's discontinued. Wouldn't pull water. After watching this video, I took the connector off at the handle. No screen. Used an air hose to blow out the gun, cleaned the hose end filter. Still wouldn't draw water. Saw on worx site to connect garden hose to the gun, connect the full wand, and run water thru it for about a minute. I ran water thru mine for 5 minutes. After that, connected the regular hose to it, works like it always did. I suppose they can sorta get air locked. IDK. Hope this helps those that cleaning the filters doesn't work for.
I was about to take the gun apart. Lucky I found your video I wasn't aware of the screen on the gun inlet and that was where my problem was causing a very weak spray. After cleaning , what a difference. I'm surprized works doesn't put a decal right at that spot saying to clean it periodically like they have on the pickup screen. . It's probably in the manual but I don't know where mine even is right now. Thanks for making the video.
I just returned one for not pulling water and now have another one that still does not pull water. I am more than frustrated. I live in an apartment and don't have a hose, so I'm using a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket. Doing exactly as you are. Any other suggestions before I return this for a second time and just buy something else?
I use a bucket too. If cleaning the filter screens does not work, try the steps in this other video (inverting, water pour, etc.) to remove any airlock. Both are neat tricks to keep in mind! ua-cam.com/video/JYUNFVKl9FQ/v-deo.html
You could try starting the pressure washer upside down without the hose attached and pour a small amount of water into the inlet which should prime it. Connect the hose and it should then draw the water through the hose much easier.
My motor sound the same as it always sounds, cleaned filters, still no suction at all, put some clean water directly in the intake with NO suction at all... So will have to perform surgery 👍🏼
Great tips.👍🤘 I had issue straight from box brand new never used. I bet mine has exact same issue im gonna use this video when I take apart clean look into. Was told also noticed you can use the 40volt battery with this. Perhaps more pressure powa 😆
I put a towel on top of my suv and put the jug on top of the roof of the vehicle.and draw water down from the top of the vehicle .That way it pulls the water much easier.
Wow, thanks man. Mines brand new never used and my relative asked clean their yawnings. It looked it was clogged but like I said never been used but the hose wasn't wound up close. I'll try this, like you said and keep wound up close but kinda like it was right from the box. Hopefully, it'll work
I think mine is broken right out of the box. When I turn the tool over and instill water directly into the intake and run the tool, it still won't suck the water through. Piece of junk.
Absolutely brilliant advice 👏 l checked the filter that goes in water, but not the gun end.
Brilliant video! After several months of non use I thought mine was broken. It worked perfectly after following these instructions. Thank you so much!

As a kid my grandfather and father owned a 1960 mk9 Jag, outstanding car!
Our good friends owned a similar year Bentley.
Cheers!
Thank you! Never knew about the filter at the inlet. Mine was filthy. Cleaned it and now it works like a dream!!

Super video. Thought mine was broken. Cleaned the filter. Worked a treat. Thank you !
i’m having trouble priming. you’re recommendation worked like a charm, thank you
Can I extend the draw hose on hydroshot.
And how much can extend it?
Thanks

This worked when nothing else would👌🏽👌🏽

Straight of the box, tried the priming method you showed but it doesn't work

And if this doesn't work what eles can it be

Hello 🥺 please I have no pressure on my Honda 190 pressure washer even after the spring lever underneath. Please 🥺 what do I do

I just shorten the hose and it prime great good tips on the small filter
I was about to throw mine out until I watched this. Problem solved what a legend thanks

mine internal hose is broken.... :(
Nicely explained and brilliantly demonstrated, thank you.👌👏
Filter cleaned, back in action! 😁Thank you! 🤗
You bet!
Great tips.👍🤘

Mines not working from new assembled correctly but still no joy any other tips
May have to prime the hose, it can take a minute to pull water up
thought mine is broken without much water coming out, seen 1st 1.5min of your video and i follow n fix it. Horay!
I swiped one of those water fountain bottles from work also 😂😂
my parents blamed me for braking the power washer and I watched this and its magically fixed
Thank you for the info! it worked!! O was about to give it away to the goodwill😮
Mine is not working. It doesn't have the screen at the handle, and the hose filter is clean.
It’s just not turning on?
@@hanksgarage_ It tries to pump, but won't.

Thanks! Great instructions!
Thank you for sharing this post.
Thank you so much , that helped me a lot.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! 💥💥💥💥
Good job mate
I put a towel on top of my suv and put the jug on top of the roof of the vehicle.and draw water down from the top of the vehicle .That way it pulls the water much easier.
Thank you 👍
It turned out mine was clogged by mineral build up on the spray holes :D so I'm soaking in vinegar...hope that's okay
Vinegar is perfectly fine
Tkz a million😊
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much
Thank you
Thank you for this
very helpful.. thank you
Wow, thanks man.
Mines brand new never used and my relative asked clean their yawnings.
It looked it was clogged but like I said never been used but the hose wasn't wound up close.
I'll try this, like you said and keep wound up close but kinda like it was right from the box.
Hopefully, it'll work
