I love how you don’t spend ages explaining your choices, you stick to the point. Life is so much easier and simpler like that. Great thought provoking video. Thank you
Love how you underline that you don't care what people think. I can't understand why a frugal life (not cheapskate) is looked fown upon. I've had some potentially hurtful, usually snidey comments from even someone close.
Wow! We're extremely similar in our frugal habits, except for the teas/coffees and subscriptions (basic Netflix). 🙂 In terms of make-up, I'm now down to an SPF 50 moisturiser and sometimes lipstick. Can't wear eye make-up/mascara. Otherwise, pretty much the same! We've saved loads over the years. I think it's because my husband and I met when we were students and had to be frugal, so we never really changed in that respect.
Totally agree with all your comments. I drive a small second hand car bought with cash 4 years ago it was just over a year old and had 17,000 miles on the clock. I drive it most days but do use public transport when it is available. I have my car serviced when it’s due no intend to run it until it won’t run any more. Hopefully I will get at least 10 years out of. I save every month for any repairs and Lao to replace the car when I need to replace it.
I wouldn't write off hello fresh and such. I subscribed when they send me some discounts like 50% off the first and then 35% off the next three. Then I cancel. And after a few weeks they ring you up with more discounts. I just had a box for 4 people 5 meals for £36, it's honestly cheaper than the supermarket when you have a discount code.
I also find a food processor is one kitchen gadet that can help you save money. You never have to buy grated cheese, or chopped veg again do it yourself when you find it cheap and freeze or can it to save money.
I highly recommend a slow cooker. If you are scratch cook, they are amazing for casseroles. Ours is used a lot, so much so, we took it on holiday recently.
On the membership note,I rate the national trust membership ( if you get the Scottish one it's cheaper) I find that it's very worth the money as it creates alot of days out for a relatively low cost, and home school families can get a membership for about £50!
My car is 18 years old. I bought it new when my mum died. It’s a 1 litre Toyota Yaris. It has 42000 on the clock and I look after it. It has served me well and apart from servicing its a cheap car to run x I’ve loved this video x
I love and adore my 16 year old car, and although of course we look after it really well i love the fact that it is bought and paid for and drives us from A to B just as well as an expensive car....one new expense we have that i absolutely don't mind is paying £60 a year for an allotment we just got... we are busy preparing it for winter and i'm looking forward to seeing all the veg it will produce for us
I live a very similar life. It would be fascinating to hear the 60 things you do buy /do that mist folks don't! Mostly because I wonder if it is similar to mine? I am in my 60s and much of my generation find me strange, because I have no desire to go shopping and don't care that my hair is going grey!😊
Amazing! Yes we are considered very strange too. Always the weirdos. 😂 I have got a video coming out in a few weeks on 10 things we DO spend money on. 💛🌻💛
This was so good! I’ve bookmarked this for when I need to think of other ways to cut costs. Takeaways and eating out is a big one I want to tackle (living in a big city doesn’t help) but deffo want to curb it 😅
Thanks so much! Honestly I get that! We used to live in a city around the corner from LOADS of restaurants. Moving to a village 3 years ago really helped 😂. 🌻💛🌻
When people want to give you a gift. Ask for the gift card for the lash place and when they build up over time you can go and not have to justify the cost. :)
I’m sorry for all these comments……. When you said that u always buy good quality items to last, it made me think of my mum who lived through the war years…….always said ‘buy cheap, buy twice’
Yeah with most things we do not go by the best by/sell by date. But because we don’t drink tea/coffee we tend to give it away before that so that we know it will definitely get used and not go to waste. And then buy fresh for guests ☺️
New subscriber here, brilliant tips thank you❤️. It's amazing how similar we are with regards to what we don't need etc. Will watch your other videos for more inspiration. I have a spider plant too that keeps giving me babies😉. Number 60 is absolutely spot on 👍. Thank you 😘 xx

I have 2 Toyotas I bought used. They last “forever” 🤞🏻. Mine has 160,000 miles on it and had a perfect check up last month. 👍🏻
Amazing 👏
Hi, a new subscriber. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to yourlist. I'd like to get to where you are, and the sense of freedom it must bring. 👍

Amazing love that!
We have a veg patch at the bottom of our garden!
Love growing our own, I find it so magical! 💛

Thank you for watching!!! 🌻💛🌻
I do want to get rid of my delivery kit and also just trying to work on the ready made food. Just trying to be intentional.
Can’t wait to see more of your videos! So refreshing (:
Aww thanks Megan! I’m hoping to be putting out new videos every Monday! 💛🌻

It is expensive to eat out. Think of the expenditure as how many hours did you have to spend at your job to pay for it.
Nik Naks…….. my husband calls them dust collectors x I have one or two special items x

100%
We did unfortunately learn this the hard way! 😂
I have a video coming soon where I discuss all our frugal fails 😂 there has been a few. 💛
Yes! And buying more expensive, higher-quality items that last will make you “buy once, cry once!”
Your teas and coffee will last about a year to year and a half after the best by date. Most things have a best by date not an expiry date.
