Found my therapist through the Therapy for Black girls website a few weeks ago and things have been going great so far!!
Dr. Joy’s podcast Therapy for Black Girls is truly a game changer and a beautiful way easing into some difficult conversations. This is the type of content for me & straight from experts!! Come through y’all 🥳
"Mmm-mmmm" before she answers everything just reminds me of my mom🤭🤭God Bless you sis
I found my therapist on her site. Best investment in myself I ever made.
I love how she says mmmhhmm after the question.
I love her podcast!! So many different topics!
Panel: asks any question
Therapists: Mmmm hmmm yes...
Lol
The fact that she has my exact name is a sign enough for me to be listening !
Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I love her podcast! So many topics and guest speakers! And her voice is so soothing.
Now have Dr. Angela Neal Barnett from Kent State University who runs an entire lab on black people and anxiety. She is the author of Soothe Your Nerves.
I’ve never heard of her. I damn sure will look her up right now! Thank you. 💕
That mmmmm, hmmmm was killing me 🤣😂
There’s no point in the black community pretending to want to better itself and also acting like we are above self criticism. What’s the point of therapy if everyone stays resistant to change.
Hmmm...I think the point of this conversation, her podcast and other platforms I have seen pointing something out: people do want change. But accessibility to space to make change has been limited. How many people work 2 or 3 jobs. How many people see therapy as an outlet only for the wealthy? Let’s be real, with the deaths of B.Taylor and G.Floyd-a lot of people -not just black have thought about the many ways people and the world need to change. This is why therapy is important but also having someone that looks like you and speak to your life story can change a multitude of issues. There is hope for us all. Accountable whatever that looks like for anyone changes things-therapy for all! And I am sure Dr. Joy is doing well. The numbers don’t lie. Black women are healing!
Beautiful, Intelligent, wise, mentally healthy, and unapologetically black. Every black man should goal for a black woman like her. Salute!
Prayer + Therapy!!! I can’t tell you how much both are necessary
Say that! You need both.
When she said my nerves are bad ? I felt that
i found my therapist on therapy for black girls. an amazing resource!
Love the podcast..its so needed. Im a new therapist and I learn alot from this podcast
I am so thankful for Dr. Joy Harden Bradford. I found my therapist thru the Therapist For Black Girls' website and she's awesome!!!
Damn she’s beautiful!!!!
Therapy for Black Girls is great podcast. Must listen
Whoever is typing during this interview (probably Charlamagne), we can hear you. It's rude to the listeners and the guests. Please mute your mic 😒
He did it during the Chris Rock interview too.😒 So tacky.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
REALLY, that is what you focusing on? Nothing is perfect right now learn to adjust like everyone else.
Every interview
Facts or facts?...It's great that these types of things exist. Black girls and Black Women go through a lot.
We All must Heal. As soon As Trup is Gone
Together 4 Eva
Everybody goes through something. White, black, male, female and all in between. You will get passed this, and realize your struggles are shared by many people, not just singular to yourself. All lives and their mental health's matter, ever yours.
Great interview! Really enjoyed it.
She is good. I agree with her on picking a therapist- I have been going for one year now and she is great! We are just starting to tap the surface- I’m thankful
Thanks for featuring this! I listen to the podcast. I have not used the directory but I intend to in the future. I also agree with her take time away from Social Media! it will clear your mind.

2020: Stop wasting emotional currency on celebs whom don’t even know you exist. They only view you as dollars with no sense-just a message ‼️‼️
Preach, the black community got that bad. Idol worship.
Love her!!!!!
FINALLY!!!!
Dr. Joy!!!!???? Yes 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I want a sista like this in my life
Q4qqfv
I pray you find one
First in line to receive these gems.
Dr. Joy!!!!!! She’s the absolute best. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Joy in September 2019 at a wonderful event she held at The Gathering Spot in Atlanta. I learned a great deal about myself that day and I met many women too!

In Therapy now and the therapist talks more than I do 🙄
If that’s not what you want, break up time!
mara charese I’m actually looking for another one as we speak
@@jay-mv5nb good... get the help you need and if they are a good therapist, they will encourage you to do so
mara charese Agreed ❤️
Omg same here. And most of the talking is repeating exactly what I said 🙄. But I'm glad it's over
OK I have to say this. I love how beautiful her hair looks and why am I thinking about Jill Scott right now 🙂
"Mmhmm...." I'm hope more of my folk see it's a habit with good intent 😁 thank u sista
Somebody at iHeart needs to provide Charlamagne with a quiet keyboard. Not sure why they thought a mechanical keyboard would be a good idea for this sort of work, but clearly they didn’t anticipate Charla attempting to beat his touch typing speed record during every interview.
Does therapist go see other therapist for themselves? I ask cause they listen to so many other people problems and themselves having prblems.
Yes they do.
Yes, I do. Was told in undergrad, a good therapist has a therapist
Psychology seeks to heal the personality without recognizing the force of the soul lies behind the configurations and experiences of the personality, and, therefore, also cannot heal at the level of the soul.

How do you hear podcasts? Does it cost?
Can access them through Spotify. I know there's other ways but I use Spotify. No charge
Question...why are y’all doing some in studio and others y’all not?
I hope i am not the only person who can't take another breakfast interview about therapy or mental health, there has been countless amounts so far for people to seek help
Skeee-Weeee💕
Revolt tv is the best
I love the empower black woman movement but we cant forget our black men who are being overlooked.
Is this that girl who was arguing with ben shapiro?
Seek God’s will daily.
Proverbs 16:3
Charlamagne and the keyboard noise on seemingly every interview 🥴 maybe he doesn’t notice it but it may be helpful to hit mute before typing away
I try therapy didn't work for me honestly and no. I'm not saying it doesn't work.
I had to go through three therapist before I found mine. Don't give up.
@@curlyvirgo58 same here but once I did, it was so worth it. My therapist helps me look at things in a way that makes so much sense and is easy for me to comprehend and understand without getting overwhelmed and stressed out.
Try again.. ❤️

The only logical option at this point would be Black Women pull out of all of these other movements and specifically push for their own specific needs to be addressed its about time. I assure you Black Men will be first in line to support these causes. All of the "intersection allies" gotta put up or shut up and we can finally start progress towards restoration of the Black Nuclear Family. We can't protect independent women thats an oxymoron. Therapy is also a necessary component in this process we've swept a lot of dirt under the rugs that need to be addressed. Anywho just my opinions I love all the gods! Peace
Mm mmhhm
I thought I was the only one. I cracked up every time.
Ok So.... Why do she blink so much 🤨🤨🤔🤔🤔 even when (A) miss yee was asking questions..,, idk Charlemagne was in a bad space at a moment when he was doing what ever idk 😐 but she looks high or drunk to me but I really don't know
,, but what I know im still voting 😄 💪🏾💪🏾
Tell blacc women to stop dissing blacc men.
Bron had kobe killed
Is every BLACK woman a doctor?
Y’all are lame. Always coming from one perspective. Trying to help the black community m. They need to want to help themselves.
How do you hear podcasts? Does it cost?
