Awwwwww, this is pretty much identical to the chicken casserole that my grandma always made for us at Christmas time. The only difference is she toasted her almond slivers with a little butter and put them in with the mixture and just did the buttered cornflakes on top by themselves. She also chopped her water chestnuts just a little, not much. This makes me home sick for Christmas Eve at grandma’s house! Thanks for the memory! 🎄

May compilation videos using existing recipes? Like pumpkin desserts or recipes using canned cinnamon rolls? Whatever you do, I know it will be delicious. Thank you for all the great recipe ideas!

That looks delicious!! I had never heard of it. We did have chicken casserole which is delicious…I love it! Zucchini casserole is another good one. I layer sliced zucchini, onions, sliced tomatoes & cheddar cheese…top off with more cheese & cover with foil). It can be baked at any temperature (325°-450°) in case your baking something else at a certain temperature…like a big pan of cornbread😂😂😂 Remove the foil a little before taking it out of the oven. The casserole makes it’s own broth…so easy & quick to make❤

I am saving this one to my files!
I remember a similarly recipe with no rice that my mom made in the late 1960's. It had water chestnuts. So I think think that ingredient makes it a vintage recipe h!
    This looks delicious!

Look yummy in trying how about some dishes using beef stew meat or the old fashion dishes with a spin on it like beans & fried potatoes i pep up my beans by adding chili powder & ham hock and my fried potatoes with leeks I love them and spice up my corn bread with jalapeños peppers and cream corn yummy I have put ground Italian sausage I my beans yum let’s go back to some of the older dishes we were raised on between u and hubby u should find one or some homemade fried chicken with jalapeños honey drizzled on it with some cheddar biscuits and some creamy corn I’ve seen there alit of recipes for that corn just a ideal
