- Hey guys I’ve got another video for you’s, this time I’m targeting elephant fish off the beach at Birdlings Flat on the South Island of New Zealand. Up until this weekend I’d never caught one of these fish but it all changed and we couldn’t stop catching them! Can you cstch elephant from a normal cast from shore or do you need a bait cannon?

@@memedaily5653 I’ve made them in the past out of PVC pipe and it works good but all that air presssure building up in it freaks me out and when it bulges it could explode and hurt you, so these stainless ones are great, if you want to look at one of these ones send me a message on instagram @cthfishing
Realising a Gummy Shark is a Insult to Australia People. Rated as The Number 1 Fish for Fish and Chips. I Love Eating IT Fish and Chips better than Snapper and only one other fish is better and that’s Parrot Fish. Aitutaki Cook Islanders was bought up on Parrot Fish and that’s why it’s 1 to me. Never tried Elephant Fish but I’m coming over to NZ in August to see families and might try to get 1. I hope . Just Subscribed to All future posts

Gurnard boat fishing and butterfish spearfing are two great tasting fish up north in NZ too brother give them a go if you can

@neilbeyers9786 a little bit of string to hold your bait on the hook better. Now days like a very thin stretchy string.
