Thanks my friend this video is awesome. First the horn in the tunnel, then the approaching light and then the appearance of this mother of all grainers with 6 D.P.U's and also a cool manifest!!!!
Great catch. I caught a similar train over in Spokane just the other day, massive grainer, 2 head units, 3 mid dpu, and 3 end dpu just like this one. I was wondering if it happened to be the same train. But the locomotive numbers didn't match.
Pretty cool, that grain shuttle was rather large one and nice catch with the KCS DPU. Keep up the good work and thanks for posting, have a great weekend 👍🏼😎🇺🇸
Fantastic catches Dave! Awesome lashup on the first train with the sweet H2 Dash 9 duo on the front and a KCS & Fakebonnet mid DPU’s, that’s a awesome lashup!
WOW!, nice way to relax and have a late breakfast!, three different paints on the mid-train DPUs!, how awesome! Unless my eyes deceived me, i thought i saw a tanker with BNSF on it?? I see the snow has melted! Thanks for posting another awesome video!!
Thanks Paul. You did see a BNSF tank car. They transport diesel fuel from the refineries in Texas to Hauser to fuel their locomotives. Snow hasn't melted this was taken a few days before it snowed. Thanks for watching my friend.
Yeah exactly no point standing there the whole time if you're just gonna shorten up the video if you film everything hand held like I do some places you can't put a tripod.
Thanks Daniel, this is just west of town and a fairly short one, it's only 1,396' long. Instead of replying to all your comments, let me just say here that I did read all your comments and thanks for taking the time to watch all the videos. I really appreciate it and thanks for watching Daniel.
You’re welcome! Oh nice I love tunnels! Since I live in Nebraska tunnels don’t exists, lol. Ok that sounds good, i don’t really expect u to respond to all my comments, lol. You are welcome and keep up the great work!
hi nice bnsf grain train where is he from and going to fast threw the tunnel , tracks look great there whats speed there. is that all bnsf tracks thanks.
Thanks henery. The grain train is headed to the port on the coast Track speed is 55mph. and yes it's BNSF's northern Transcon. Thanks for watching my friend.
Hi Dave, Real cool mega grain train. Nice to see some of the old BN hoppers are still working. God bless our farmers. Never knew how much I would miss that paint scheme. If those cars ever get repainted they should keep the heritage BN green. I wouldn’t care if the BNSF logo was put on them. The KCS mid train DPU was nice as was the BNSF warbonnet. I guess the KCS southern belle scheme is now on borrowed time. Hopefully CPKC will come up with something nice fortheir beaver herald which I understand is a keeper. The sold red I think is rather ugly. The CP heritage and patriotic schemes are nice though. Way ahead of anything BNSF would think of doing! I was wondering, do the heavy trains get all C-C units or the C4 GE’s. I suppose I could look that up by unit number but they go by so fast sometimes I can’t catch it. No pause on the IPhone. Or I am just lazy. Be safe my friend 👍🙂🌟
Hi Lou, That mega grain was a nice surprise, I wasn't expecting it. I agree, I like seeing those old green BN hoppers. I was watching a video, just the other day, that was taken on this line, and it had a grainer in it with four SD40-2s pulling a whole string of those green hoppers. I don't think they will ever repaint them as the trend is for higher capacity hoppers. Seeing that KCS unit was cool, we don't get to see them up here very often and unfortunately probably not much longer. I wonder if they are going to do a totally new scheme like they did with the BN/SF merger or just keep the CP scheme. Hopefully something new. I don't care for that red scheme much either although, like you said, they do have some nice Heritage and patriotic schemes. All the major class I railroads have multiple heritage schemes on their locomotives and all BNSF can come up with is to put some stickers on the side of a locomotive, pretty sad. Most of the heavy trains I've see get a mix of locomotives, including the EMDs, but mostly the newer ES/AC 4400 high horsepower units. I caught one several days ago with a SD70ACe leader! Take care and thanks for watching Lou.

Great catch. I caught a similar train over in Spokane just the other day, massive grainer, 2 head units, 3 mid dpu, and 3 end dpu just like this one. I was wondering if it happened to be the same train. But the locomotive numbers didn't match.

Great video , great camera work. Liked the fact that you always film the entire train until it disappears on the distance.
Thanks Don, I appreciate that. That's how I like to video trains, just as if I was trackside watching them. Thanks for watching my friend.
Yeah exactly no point standing there the whole time if you're just gonna shorten up the video if you film everything hand held like I do some places you can't put a tripod.
@@maxrshelltrack7443 I use a tripod, zoom shots get way too shaky without one. Thanks for watching my friend.
ChainsawN&W1218,that was a monster of a grain train,I counted 221 cars I believe 3 DPU'S in the middle and 3 on the rear.

No, I didn't count them. Thanks for watching my friend.
i see 3 dpu at end mega grainer, they bring 3 dpu because fully loaded or westbound mountainous terrain?
There are also 3 mid train DPUs and they have the DPUs because of both mountainous terrain and fully loaded. Thanks for watching my friend.
Love this location! How long are the tunnels?
Thanks Daniel, this is just west of town and a fairly short one, it's only 1,396' long. Instead of replying to all your comments, let me just say here that I did read all your comments and thanks for taking the time to watch all the videos. I really appreciate it and thanks for watching Daniel.
