At 2:00 is how I hold the controller, except my index & middle fingers are on L1, L2, R1/R2, at all times. So my trigger finger for shooters is my middle finger. It’s the only way I can hold the controller comfortably.
I am fairly new with controllers but used to keyboard , since I usually played fps games . For platformer games like hollow knight , do u recommend learning this grip style for controller ? And is it easy to learn for avg gamers,
O yeah it's easy to learn I play other games like "mud runner" and ESO if I didn't use claw on everything I do I feel like I would honestly be as at everything 🤣 I will never buy an over priced scuff controller because I can't even hold the controller normally it feels so awkward. Lol
@@kyngrigid4562 Thanks for reply man . Will sub to u , u are supportive :) . Tho I have a logitech controller and trigger buttons are a bit of pain to press , will adjust accordingly . It gives me idea XD
Maybe controller placement is wrong before you fully hold the controller lay your pointer finger on first then how ever your palm rests on the paddle is how you may need to hold it #2 crumble up a small pice of paper about 1cm high stick it between your right thumb and right joystick to see if maybe a control freak would help if it works then your finger needs alittle more distance if you already have a control freak on try taking it off. Got alot of tip lmk if those work or not if not lmk I hot more hahah
2:00 I play fps game seriously and I play like that 😂 and im good. So if yall think this make you better, it dont. It makes some people better but it doesn’t work w me so dont get upset if it dont work for you

Do you think it will be better to play claw on ps5? Cuz I’m a Xbox player but I want the ps5 and the only reason why I play on Xbox it’s cuz it’s more comfortable to play claw on it than the ps4
Its true if your hand feels like its cramping get a control freak try different sizes or take it off everyone's hand is different and require different elevation of the thumb if your hand is to tightly compact then (what they say is true) but if you're keeping your hand more open and lose you will be fine and free of cramping

You just curl it up like a C when I teach people in real life I tell them to close there eyes and practice it helps your brains muscle memory they have experienced huge success with that tip also everytime you press the wrong button close your eyes and press it a few times while in the claw position to help your brain notice a new pattern
The only way to brake the habit is to practice if I were you id try a non competitive game for awhile something that won't stress you out for a week or 2 and really try and get the hold down
@Plain DeQz I recommend gamesir ps4 controller thumbgrips they are cheaper then control freeks and as tall and has 8 pcs but control freeks only have 2pc so control freeeks are more expensive for less value
Itshephaestus_ I play fortnite and I use every button but I just wanna know if my hand placement is wrong. I’ve been playing claw for a little over a year now and still have this issue

use your pointer finger for r2,r1

Alot of times what people will do is even if your middle finger cant make it to r2 they will use the ring finger for r2 middle for r1
