In this video I spend the entire day learning CLAW. Claw grip is one of the BEST ways to become a good controller player, so I decide to give it a try for the first time ever. I copy the binds of a great player, set some goals for myself, and then start GRINDING. Enjoy!

Learning claw may be easy for you but keep in mind that for some people claw is not as ergonomic and can actually damage your wrist long term as it did for mine
U didn’t play it right cuz u should not have any wrist problems
its your index finger that should suffer playing claw, pressing it down on its side repeatably

Right on, man! That’s cool that you tried claw. My own buttons are mapped so unless I need to check my map or inventory, I NEVER need to take my thumbs off the sticks. On my strikepack eliminator, I’ve got run and reload (roof and floor: build mode)(reset & confirm: edit mode) on one button, next weapon/pickaxe another button, switch mode on a button, emote/augment (switch material) on another. It’s a totally optimized and practical layout. Keep ‘em coming! 😎☮️💟

@@c.deezyy2678 if you hold down 3 controller buttons while holding the designated strikepack button, they’ll be mapped. I would not recommend the edit binds because they’re super unoptimal unless you bring up your ring finger up onto R2 which can be extremely uncomfortable, I suggest triangle confirm if you’re using touch pad, or do Triangle edit L2 confirm
Or you could just keep your middle finger on the triggers and bumpers and leave your index on the face buttons. Many people already do this and a lot of people that are good at the game do as well. (Hazard, FaZe Sway) and for some people bringing their ring finger up to the triggers and bumpers isn’t uncomfortable, maybe even more comfortable. (Gmoney does this , YoDamaged)

@@Opinion878 Faster response time depends on if you can click faster and if you have a good controller. Paddles idk cause ive never played paddles only claw but if you cant get used to claw in like 3 weeks then just use paddles.

I just want to say something about the fact that playing claw on a ps4 controller is much harder than on a ps5 controller and mostly if you have big hands cause the controller is smaller than the ps5 one so I was wondering if it was better to wait to have my PS5 (in July) to play in claw or directly start now, but anyway i love your videos, keep up the great work!

It's easy but on Xbox it's way harder. Even if i have big hands the ps4 controller is more comfy cuz both the sticks are down and i can use the d pad as an edit bind unlike Xbox

Definitely! On xbox you'd only use right hand claw, but there's a few really good pros that play claw on an xbox controller
