    Oh snap! I only just finished saying how I couldn’t figure out a pedestrian gate with an auto gate…and you’ve only gone & solved it. You’re a freaking genius as well as an artist & skilled tradesman. Impressive stuff.

    That is a very smooth transition. Love the idea of the walk gate on the rolling gate.

    Please complete by flashing off the gap between the access gate and the main gate, using 30x3 galv flat bar and tack weld or tek screw for privacy. Gorgeous job mate 👍

    I'm love this. Do you have a video that shows you how to put the runner across the bottom so the slide the hardware the gate slides on I'm trying to do this to my backyard so I can park my van inside.

    I love it. But a question for you: why not build a pedestrian gate in the static section of the fence beyond the mailbox? Then the gate could open all the way right to the ground, rather than have 15cm of timber horizontally above the ground to step over.

    what if the gate got stuck open or someone left it open then would it get damage from the gate opener. then u have a step over the the gate when getting in and out. what if u have to drag a trash can then u'd have to carry it over? And u have to duck to go in and out

    • @naileditfencing
      @naileditfencing  9 місяців тому

      The pedestrian gate has an automatic hinge so it won’t get stuck open. If you want to take your wheelie bin out, open the sliding gate.

    The thumbs down votes are not thinking correctly this was beautiful work .... this was a great inspirational video. How did you do the pyramids on the posts?
    I instantly sub thanks for the video

    • @naileditfencing
      @naileditfencing  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Ryan. I appreciate that.
      The pyramids are done by squaring a line around the post, then using a 9 1/4 circular saw upside down and following the line on all 4 sides.

  • @biggils8894
    @biggils8894 17 днів тому +1

    Why would you bother? In order for you to enter the gate it needs to be unlocked. Isn’t that the whole point to the sliding gate to have security. It only costs a couple dollars to get an automatic gate jigger to give to your whole family. Just open the gate a meter and then close it

    The pedestrian gate needs a dead man on to stop the gate operating when in the open position, again you must start to install safety edges due to the resent fatalities.

    Looks great but in the USA it’s against national building code. The pedestrian gate must be always from the vehicle gate. Several people have been killed because of designs like this. Although I love it!
    Ul325 & ASTM F2200 documents clearly say this can’t be done

      Thanks for the heads up. Should have added it to the constitution. 😂
