Hi Jake,
with all those Iphones and Apple Smartwatches you find and can not find the Owner, why dont you ask Louis Rossmann (from Rossman Repair Group) if he can read the Memorychips of those Phones. Most Memorychips hold their Data even if the get wet, that way Photos ect could be Recovered and the Owners Identified and informed that their phone was found..
That jar you found is a Spell Jar/Witch Jar. Depends on the practice but usually is associated with discarding curses. A witch will create a jar to capture negative energy/entities/curses etc and one of the ways to discard them is to toss them in water. According to many of these practices, you just freed whatever the person was trying to capture. So you know, that's great.

Amature wiccan here: often when you try to curse someone you put things like rusty nails, black pepper, piss and vinegar in a bottle along with a piece of paper with their name on. Sometimes you burn the paper with their name on and seal up the bottle. To stab the lid is (from what I've heard) used to inflict harm or violence upon the person you're trying to curse. The ingredients are different depending on what you're trying to do to the person you're cursing/hexing. Just beware that these jars can contain things like rotten vegetables, urine, blood and sharp metal. So be careful when opening them. But otherwise there should be no harm in opening them, unless the witch who placed the jar there finds out since it may tamper with the effect of her curse. Not sure about if it will tho.

Ida well it’s actually a topic that is discussed about a lot... but the main phrase you go by in Wicca is „and if it harms none do what yer will“ by cursing someone you will break this. It’s being said that you CAN curse someone but the curse will come back to you three times worse... I‘m sorry if my message seemed kinda aggressive.... but i‘m reacting very sensitive to misinformation about Wiccan religion because a lot of people still think that it’s a bad religion thinking of all the witch cliches like killing newborns, cursing people and stuff like this...

Also, I think people like to imagine wiccans as evil witches who curse people and inflict damage on them (Like an RPG lmao) but while these things do exist, most knowledgeable people don't do them. Its like murder. Most people don't do it and find it horrific, but a rare few do it. I have been a Wiccan for 6 years now. And in all that time, I've only seen ONE instance of cursing someone. Its possible, but as @@Lea-np8rs said, the 3x3 rule can make quick work of a would be hexer.
It's a witches jar. Could be a number of things. Opening it wasn't a good idea. You had spell ingredients floating all around you.
Sometimes sharp things are added for cursing jars. Best to leave them alone so you don't get hurt.

13:04 No mystery as to why there's a hard drive in the river. Truth be told, I'd be scared to find out what's on it. The platters are probably fine, so realistically you could swap over those platters into a new drive and read the data off them. Dunno what you did with this one, but you should really consider turning hard drives over to the police; no one spends the time to take apart their computer and throw the hard drive into a river just because they're throwing it away.

Wiccan is a religion, and generally works with a "harm none" rule- witchcraft and Wicca are two separate things. ✨
@@R34M they are indeed two different things, however they each have their dark sides... I had a friend at one point that was a wikka and showed me some of the nonsense, I mean spells or brews and they can be quite nasty. There is one for death but who really believes in that stuff anyway?
@@christophermartin892 Which can honestly bode good or bad if you believe in them. In voodoo if you disturb the spell it redirects to the person who disturbed it. In Wicca it simply voids it. If you don't believe in either you open the jar underwater and hope it doesn't contain harmful chemicals.

Bro im Indian and i know that the pottery is for doing Black Magic in hindu tradition...The one who does it will write the name of the person in that small bronze plate and perform pooja to goddess Kali or other entity to hurt the person through black magic and after performing the rituals they throw the pot with stuff filled with in to the water..mostly they prefer river to throw it in running water... if no river found they choose any water body..And it isn't ashes in the jar it is turmeric powder we use for doing pooja ..So don't touch those things next time ❌✖️ God bless you nd take care...

whatever was in that jar was made to slowly release. also by judging how easily it came out yet there was still so much left in the jar, id say it was under water for only a couple hours. Whatever it was id suggest getting the papers that came out of it tested to see what it was

For those wondering about the bottle as far as I can tell its a "down the river enemy removeing bottle spell" so maybe wiccan not voodoo. Each paper seemed to have roughly from what I can tell "* first name* *last name* die" so I'm guessing an amateur with a lot of hate did this? I'm not a professional so this is just a guess.
Wiccans would not do a spell to harm others. Maybe some amateur witchcraft?

But Some Young self proclaimed "wiccans" who dont actually know or accept wiccan laws, but just say "I'm a witch I can kill you cause I want to" to get power over others. Or there are wiccans who are willing to practice the darker arts to their own acclaim despite the major downsides. That is my assumption to who did it. I don't know of any other "witchcraft" that is currently practicing can you tell me if I'm missing one specifically?
But if you ment voodoo its similar in law to wicca isnt it? it's used to benefit rather than hurt and just has a bad side like wicca due to folklore and movies but can have a bad side but it hurts the user as much as the victim in both cases

@@briennabradley when it comes to wicca and witch craft, the easiest way I can explain the difference is that wicca is closer to a religion and witchcraft is more of spiritually. Wiccans typically follow the three fold law. Meaning whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person three times. While witches are only bound by their own morals.
So, since I am a witch if I wanted to curse someone the only reproduction i would have to deal with is my own conscience. But, I'm way to lazy to do all the work to do a curse.
I would suggest he sage and palo Santo everything that he carries with him on his drives. Sage banishes all energy, and palo Santo brings in good energy.

Oh gosh, you can see how dangerous it is to scuba dive sometimes when the current was pulling him away...
If you are a confident and good swimmer than you should be fine tbh.
So I think if you see those messages in a bottle you SHOULD NOT GET THEM OUT. usually people put this in the water as a form of relief and therapy and dumping it in the water is a way of throwing your guilt and problems away. In my area those exact things were more powerful than throwing your relatives ashes in the water. I might be wrong but I feel that you should just leave it.

For those commenting about the stuff that came out of the jar. Different jars are made with clay or dirt from the location in which the jars intent is based. Most jars can fulfill their intent and usually are pointless after about 6 days. So no need to worry about disturbing rituals or unleashing hell. Removing the jar is no big deal. Yes some witch jars can have negative intent but it is doubtful with this one as it didn’t seem to have anything in it to symbolize harm. More then likely it was a prayer to a deceased or offering to a practicing witches current deity. 👍

Confession: As A kid I tried snorkeling, finally got the hang of it after many, many fails. As a young adult I finally got my opportunity to learn to scuba with my new boyfriend who was a certified instructor. I had been wanting to learn for so long. I love water, fresh, salt, calm, choppy I love it all. After a few hours he gave up. I'm not phobic of water at all, the gear wasn't faulty but I couldn't breathe. Never panicked. I get to see so much thru your videos, Thank you so much for not being just another loud, trash mouthed youtuber.
my grandpa was in the army and was a combat engineer doing demolitions, he had to go retrieve some ammo or something and he had never dove before, they told him to just sit on the bottom before anything else and just relax, and to just breath, nothing else, and it worked out fine for him. i am curious if your boyfriend mentioned something like that to you? if not you might give it a try

I don't practice Voodoo, but if I found a jar I thought was even POTENTIALLY use for Voodoo I most certainly wouldn't open it. Whether you believe in the dark arts or not, if it IS real, you could have attached some negative energy to yourself by disturbing the jar. I would just rather be safe than sorry.

The jar you found wrapped in tape is a bait thing, they are thrown in the area the fisherman wants fish to be attracted to.

Hi! Green Witch here, just wanted to say that it could possibly be a spell bottle. This could possibly be amatuer witchcraft too, people doing spells for the wrong reasons( not witches at all) . In the craft we don't believe in harming others, if you do it comes back threefold (karma) Witches get a bad rep but this could likely be someone who has no idea what their doing in a fit of anger. Edit: theres a good and bad to everything so be careful

If you still have that laptop drive, I can might have a 99% chance of recovering data from it. those things are sealed pretty tight, and if the disks are water free, a replacement drive can be found to replace the corroded electronics on the outside.
