- i think we all feel behind in life sometimes. the trick is to reflect on how far you have come and to stop comparing ourselves to others. we are not competing with anyone. no one has it all figured out. we are not on this imaginary life schedule. we dont need to be at the same place as others, or where society thinks we should be. we just need to be. we are where we are supposed to be. life is a journey. we are all on our own path going at our own pace. and i know we have all come very far, even if it feels like sometimes we havnt. keep going.

Comparison is the thief of joy.
What we see of others are usually just the tip of the iceberg
and when it comes to social media we are seeing the highlight reel or are things and situations that are just straight up invented for clout.
We dont see the troubles and hardwork behind the scenes.

I’ve felt like this more often than not, and I know I have a potential i’m no where close to reaching cause I haven’t taken the steps to get there. A lot of the small talks we’ve had about productivity have motivated me to the point where I know there is so much time in a day to accomplish so much when you actually put your mind to it and DO IT instead of just thinking about it. Wishing you nothing but success in all the other endeavors you’re venturing into and I hope one day I’ll also be able to look back and motivate and help others the way you do! Let’s all aim to accomplish all of our goals this year 🙏🏽

Thank you for sharing your life's journey with us, I'm from Brazil and I have the same thoughts, I believe it's a global thing, especially among men, we have to provide, we have to be successful, it's been difficult times, I'll continue one day at a time and just trying to breathe and realize that even slowly I'm not where I was yesterday, everyone reading, keep going, believe in yourself, we can't stop trying to be our best versions, stay well, a big hug to everyone, we can do it, keep going.

4:56 THIS. When I was growing in the 90's I saw my dad be able to provide for a wife and 2 kids with just a factory job. and Not just provide but thrive, we had a house with a huge yard in the suburbs. But as I got older my Mom had to start working to help out. The economy was changing enough that my Dad decided to open his own Tax and accounting business because he knew there would be no other way to bebale to thrive the way we had been if he didn't become a business owner.
All this to say, the examples we had growing up of what successful/Happy people looked like is not the reality we have come to live in. That reality we used to live in as kids no longer exists. That isnt the world we live in anymore, and those things that we thought would just happen if we did A, B and C well the steps have changed, there are more steps now and each step is harder to achieve than the next. The future we were promised as kids is not the future we got. I think that's why SO many younger adults always hit this point in thier lives were they feel this way. You're not alone in these feelings, that's for sure lol

Love this style of videos. More candid off the cuff without too many edits. You don’t need to do the crazy angles with your vlogs brother. More casual style makes it feel a lot more personal. Thanks for sharing I’m turning 30 this year and I love the wisdom and perspective that comes with age. I totally relate man a few years ago and even nowadays I feel like I’m behind even tho I’m lucky to be engaged, living in our own home, and our family is relatively healthy. I try to practice gratitude and mindfulness everyday but it‘s only natural to compare yourself. I love this idea from Jordan Peterson where he said when we’re younger it’s only natural to compare yourself to others but once you grow and become more independent you realize that you have to become your own standard. And that’s such a powerful mindset.

I was forced to move out of my parents house when I was 18 years old. I worked a full time job and only made $7.45 an hour. Trying to survive and pay bills was a struggle for me and I made the biggest mistake of my life and committed business theft by doing false returns at my job and putting the money onto my debit card. I was caught, went to court, got a guilty plea deal, and paid back what I took. Got a criminal record for that. But I took it as a learning lesson. I found a new job. I worked my ass off. Got promoted several times. And now 8 years since that incident I bought my first home and live a decent life with my dog. Life is still a struggle for me, I don't make enough to live a fancy life style or go on vacations. Which does make me upset sometimes. But when I look back on my past it just keeps pushing me to work harder everyday. Thank You for this video Ron. I appreciate it a lot

It’s amazing how people can go through things in life or have the same feelings/thoughts about themselves and it rings deep within you. This hit home with me deep brother, everything you said and shared I’ve gone through myself and still go through as well in the exact same fashion as you’ve expressed. Hello Ron. About you struggling with comparing yourself to others and about giving back. I am a Muslim and I immediately thought of these two beautiful sayings our prophet said. I think it will help you. (the Messenger of God (pbh) said: "Look at those who are beneath you and do not look at those who are above you, for it is more suitable that you should not consider as less the blessing of Allah".). And the second one. (the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status) so no matter how much you give back money will come back to you. That's a big belief we have. It happens to me personally sometimes I give during the day and by the night I get paid from somewhere I didn't expect at all.
