Hey Joe! Looks like you have been bitten by the tackle bug just like I was! You're making some cool stuff! I haven't seen you since I retired, I hope you are doing well! Mike
As I'm trying to find blades of specific pattern, this seems to be the beast way to make trout, kokanee, and salmon blades. Have you tried to do a "Mexican Hat" pattern? Just subscribed!
Looks good. It looks like you get a nice looking coat without using a fluid bed. Perhaps the fast, even heating with the heat gun allows for that? Just looking for tips as I'm new to this.
Make sure to keep the powder paint fluffed. Just put the cap on it and flip it upside down and make sure you tap it to get everything off the bottom. Turn it over and it’s fluffed and ready to dip. I do this every couple of blades or so.
I believe so. I guess I’m not sure what you are using exactly, but I use it with my pro-tech powder paints. You can also use a semi transparent over it, like a candy, and it creates a neat effect!
Thanks for sharing Brother can’t wait to try the crinkle powder just got a shipment in from Tj’s Tackle
It’s fun stuff to play around with!

Hey Mike! Yeah I love this hobby! Take care!
Do you have to clear coat after you do spoons?
@@denniscummings4848 not with the powder paints. Once you bake them they cure and become hardened and will naturally have a glossy looking finish.
