Sound deadening mat will help some inside with the heat but not alot because the aluminum is on top when installed inside cab. I did my steiger and it was so so . To really block the heat it must be installed on the exterior bottom of cab. ALL 4 WHEEL Drive tractors, the floor gets hot . Just the nature of design. It's a lot of heat under there. Alot. I spent alot of time in deere 4wd 9520s to 9rs.

Hey BJ if your still getting hot feet check the hood seal by he windshield and the exhaust heat shield. Had the same issue on a 9560 we had and it was a missing exhaust shield by the cab that didn't get put back on when the turbo was replaced. The windshield would also get so hot you couldn't even put your hand on it, the seal for the hood was half off by the windshield so all the heat from the motor made the windshield hot

With that J-D floor area, I'd do what you're doing, but put the rubber floor mat for pattern and cut carpet same size and headliner glue to back of carpetf for the double-backed foil insulatioin., You'll still have access to the floor panels easily ! To do it right seats needs to come out for other insuklated and carpeted area.

Thanks for another great video Brian and BJ.
    It was interesting guys.
BJ you did a great job of cleaning out the cab and then attacking the floor heat situation. You did a fantastic job of putting that heat reduction pads under the flour mat. How about a couple of layers of it. Just a thought. You said it is differently better. How about a piece of carpet now over the floor mat. Give you another layer of protection. Glad you thought it was better, not near as hot. Am sure the new water pump and washing out the radiator surely helped also. Glad it is running cooler. Maintenance goes a long way of helping.
    Nice work BJ.
Aldo nice work with the camera and your voice over explaining things. You did great BJ!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your old shop needs a cleaning out I think. Hard to find time to do things like that I know.
Brian thanks for the update on the lime spreader. Hope in the future you can get one as it looks to be a good piece of machinery.
BJ hope your kids get to feeling better soon. School is always spreading illness around for sure.
All for now I guess. Thanks for everything Brian and BJ. You all take care and be safe.

Worked well on my old Jeep floors that burnt our feet up in summer, Using some carpet over the insulation adds more protection from heat !

Boy I wish I had the cab of that tractor as my office. I would enjoy that alot more then my desk at the automotive shop I work at. You have what I would call a dream job and life as a farmer. Yes, I know it's not all ways peaches and cream being a farmer. But I don't mind hard work.II just hate working for someone else and the public. I seem to get my second wind around 4 or 5 so later nights wouldn't bother me. Your family has set you to brothers up to have a good life. Granted, you guys have put your time in, too.

After washing the radiators out, you need to let him completely air dry. If they're still damp inside a new start plow one again, the dust and dirt is gonna plug it back up.

I have had good luck using the foaming coil cleaner, the stuff you use on residential AC units. I usually do it twice because when you think all the dirt is out it’s not, let it dry before I go back out in the dust and has worked great. I am sure the armchair experts will say otherwise but just my 2 cents.

The one thing I did notice running that 9460r is with the hydraulic reservoir being on the right hand side of the cab directly below the cup holders you could never keep a drink cool in the cup holder cause of the heat coming off that hydraulic reservoir. Really poor design on Deeres part in my opinion.
