    You inspired me so I tried something similar, bit with resin and not acrylic paint. I tried using Reusable Self-Adhesive Laminating Sheets by Studio, which I bought at the dollar store and because you can reposition this laminating sheet, you can remove it fairly easily. It also doesn't bubble up and the edges were really clean.

    • @CraftyJenn

    OMG this just gave my heart a jolt , I lost my Crow New 2yrs ago and I am still heartbroken over his death, I reared him from a baby . There are some videos of him & I on my channel ,its just a place for home videos . His feathers after a bath gleamed with such a lustre of gem like under colours.
    I need to get this silhouette from you!
    The colours you used here are beautiful, I have recently bought a lot of the Arteza Pearl's, the Metallics set and I would love to try them on this. Swiping with a feather is an ingenious idea too. You are so clever. its stunning!

    • @CraftyJenn
      @CraftyJenn  4 роки тому +1

      OMG that's SO cool that you had a crow and even more amazing that you raised him from a baby! I'm so sorry for your lose. I know how hard it is losing a pet - mine are my kids. I don't have this one on my website because it's a much larger silhouette than my usual because it takes up the whole canvas. Please send me a message to craftyjennart@gmail.com if you want one, what size canvas (I used a 10x20 inch) and I can create a custom one for you :) I think it would be amazing with the Pearl and metallic paints!! Thank you SO much for watching ;)

    Oh the feather is a great idea, I have seen craft feathers sold by the bag you could use one till it just can’t be used then grab another. I like the way it so gently pulls the color over the top of the other. I would have a book or some paper near by to make some swipes from that pretty feather and make some collage papers.

    Your creativity has gone insane. I love this. I have a suggestion for you. Try this technique on a wood plank or a wood art canvas. Then you could LIGHTLY run an xacto knife around the contact paper and get a clean line. Because you have poured on wood you won't have to worry about cutting through. Just a suggestion. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

      Awe thank you SO much :) and thank you for the awesome suggestion :) I have been wanting to make some wooden surface canvases as it's a little easier to resin on them so I'm in the works trying to figure out how to get that done - I don't have any wood cutting saws LOL but I think the hardware store can cut them ;P Thank you SO much for watching :)

    I love your art work Jen and I would love to buy some of your silhouettes. How do I go about it? I have been doing some painting myself ever since
    Corona virus started. Also can you send me a link on the measurement of your paint mixes when you did this Raven Spirit Acrylic pour painting? I sure would like to try making one myself. It is a gorgeous painting, I will brave myself to make one. Your help will be much appreciated.
    I wish you a lot of success in your painting business:)

    Nice work. I would have thought the paint was to thick and pulling off the vinyl off would tear the paint. Glad it didn't. What did you use to seal the vinyl?

    • @CraftyJenn

      Thank you SO much :) When I first did it I was worried about that too but it works really good so no worries :) I used Liquitex Varnish; amzn.to/2mZjR4t to seal the vinyl. Thank you so much for watching :)

    Can you do a video that shows the entire process? How you acquire the silhouette , how you spray the canvas with the Rustoleum, the placement, etc..?

    • @CraftyJenn
      @CraftyJenn  5 років тому

      I'm working on that :) I make the silhouettes on my computer and then use my Cricut machine to cut them out of vinyl but you can also hand cut. I have other silhouette videos where I just use vinyl or I use the Rustoleum peelable primer. Stay tuned for more and thank you so much for watching ;)

    • @CraftyJenn
      @CraftyJenn  6 років тому +1

      Awe thank you SO much :) I haven't mostly because I'm never too sure what color I want to paint it until the pour is finished LOL I don't think the vinyl would pull off any paint so it's definitely doable :) Thank you SO much for watching ;)

    I want to do a rendition of this for a Christmas gift for my sister. Going to be one woman and then a girl so mostly a smaller face and the girl face looking slightly up at the older girl. And one side will have blues and whites and greys and the other reds yellows and gold. Hopefully I can pull it off I’m a little confusing about what you did in the middle the black what was that?

    • @CraftyJenn
      @CraftyJenn  6 років тому +1

      That sounds like a beautiful piece to create!! Love it :) I used vinyl to cover over the negative space in the middle. Here's a link to the vinyl; amzn.to/2OwiXIw You can cut by hand the silhouette shapes from a print out or if you have a Cricut cutting machine (amzn.to/2My7RB7 ) use that to cut out the shapes :) I hope you have lots of fun creating and thank you for watching ;)

      Thank you so much 😊 LOL It's a Bernzomatic torch ( www.amazon.com/shop/CraftyJenn ) I use it to pop the silicone bubbles 😊 To create the silhouettes is a lengthy process I haven't done a video on yet but I do have the face on my CraftyJenn Facebook page @craftyjenn.ca
      I hope this helps 😊 I will have more updates soon on how to get more silhouettes. Thank you so much for watching 😊
