Mary Trump stayed quiet when Donald Trump thought about campaigning for President in 2012. She stayed quiet when he campaigned for President in 2016. She knew how terrible he would be as President the entire time.
So I don't value much of what she has to say until she apologizes for staying silent about Donald Trump for about 12 years.
At least Robert Kennedy Jr's family is speaking out against their cousin. They know he doesn't stand much of a chance at all to win the Presidency but that's not the point. What they talked about (7:20) is so true and has really f’d me up spiritually & mentally. I was born in 68, and although I was aware even at a young age that no country or system of governance is ever perfect, I guess I was under the impression that the vast majority of people here loved democracy, wanted fairness & equality for everyone & were working towards making things better. Just speaking for myself, the last 4 to 5 years has been a rude awakening. These people & ideas aren’t fringe at all. A lot of people I knew most of my adult life, turns out I never really knew them. Unfortunately, I never knew the Church either. Both of those realities have flipped my life upside down. I’m sure many other people feel the same way.
And you can’t talk to people who flat out refuse to believe facts and reality and believe they’re all “victims”. Side note.. I live in a very red county in FL - and majority of the vehicles with trump stickers & flags are $50 - $70k huge brand new trucks.

Finally someone is asking the right questions and bringing up the right issues. The mere fact that Trump was given a political platform and has been and is this whole time viewed as a "political opponent" and a "political issue" rather than an equivalent of a natural disaster by the left was the first UNBELIEVABLE mistake that was done. His acknowledgment as a viable candidate NEVER should've happened in the first place and had started the whole mess. And to regard his base of raging lunatics as a segment of the population that's entitled to participate as legitimate voters, instead of seeing them as a waste product of American culture is insane. These people do not qualify to make decisions about a democratic society. Ironically, what created them and what sustained them is the lack of firmness and agency from the normal people. It has been three years since Jan 6 and he STILL hasn't suffered any consequences. Any normal government would've made sure to convict him and remove him from public eye ASAP. i have noticed on the f$x machine how they expect everyone to worship the founders and absolutely so. being that most all of the founders were slaveholders the expectation that they deserve our unquestioning worship requires that we also worship the ugly godawful terrible part of who they were. this pairs so nicely with the absolute worship that the dumpster commands from his magas. and that absolute worship of the founders and the dumpster both go together so fabulously well with christianity's absolute worship of their god. thus, dumpster confirmed for his magas on good friday (i think?) that he is their christ jesus lord of all, and so it follows that devotees must worship him entirely for all that he is.

The phrase "a jury of Donald's peers" is an interesting one. For that to happen would be impossible. There is nothing like Trump out there and any of those jurors would be able to sue for defamation as there is no way that Trump is their equal.

I talked with a conservative who believes he is aware of what's really happening and still supports Trump. The only thing that I said that caused him to "think" was the fact that so many of Trump's top officials while he was in office are speaking out against him. The man I spoke to seemed shocked when I told him about this.
If you listen to his supporters, they don't like most of the things people they oppose don't like and both sides want more or less the same things. We are feeling the economic pressure caused by the tyranny of overorganization, greedflation, and the concentration of wealth, property and political power into very few hands. It's time to tear down Babbel. However, though we share the same frustration and desire the same end - the freedom to pursue a better life or happiness, we disagree on the ends. The MAGA world seems determined to throw in a 'disrupter,' though he doesn't disrupt antlything. He just gives the free reign to rally up and go after another group also getting by on table scraps while he won't actually help them get a seat at the table. Non-magAmerica seems more determined to use the constitution and pass laws to make things better for everyone.
We need to rhetorically create that that common ground, cut through all that anti-woke rabble rousing and convince people that honesty and everyone's playing by the same rules is how things get better.

Everyone knows who donald is. 30% of Americans LIKE THAT! They WANT that. Those who do not have to stop, think, and recognize this fact. The existential threat that is facing us now are these MAGA governors. In Louisiana we have a horrible one that just took office in January and is working at break neck speed to make this state into his own personal dictatorship with the help of the Republican super majority he has in the state Congress. When HRC made that comment about the “basket of deplorables”, I was shocked. How can you say that about people, especially if you want to win their votes? Since then, I have had numerous interactions with them on social media and understand a whole lot better where that comment came from and in some cases absolutely agree. Politically it might’ve cost her, because it sounded quite arrogant, but I don’t think they would’ve voted for her anyway.
When I see the interviews by people like Jordan Klepper, I often think they seem friendly enough, just not politically savvy and I wonder if I might even have liked some of them if we had met personally under different circumstances. They remind me of some people I used to work with: good, hard-working and generally friendly people, but not very smart. I got on with them quite well at work, but they were not the kind I would be BFFs with. Some are obviously dumb, but others are at least of average intelligence.
