  • That's right, we're going somewhere. No exact destination and we feel great about it! Feels good to be on the move again. We had a fantastic time in Banderas Bay and made life-long friendships. We are excited to see how this journey goes ;)
    Thanks for watching!
p.s. I try and reply to as many comments as I can but we are still so so busy so please do not take it personally 💕

This very scenario is why you built this ship.
    You dreamt it.
Let go and fly the wind.
Let your bow point the way and let the sails pull you there.
The Sea is your home, and the land is for supplies.
The night stars are your friends waving at you.
    Let the sun kiss you.
The storms at sea are rowdy drunken sailors of old.
Love one another and love will surround you.
    ⛵🐙

That is what sailing is supposed to be about. Sailing the wind. Letting it decide where to go and when to stop! Fabulous!!!

I get chills when Rediviva is under full sail. Garrett is so lucky to have a partner with the same sense of adventure. She jumped right into hoisting the main. I thank you both for sharing your adventure. I've followed since you poured the keel and never thought you two would ever be able to wash the tar off. Have a good sail.

Beautiful music this time! I'm glad you conquered the paralysis of analysis and did something with that storage area.
The staysail is very powerful because it directs the airflow between the main and the jib, yankee, genoa, or drifter. Many of us always have the staysail up even if the sheets are drooping in very light wind because it really helps both the main and foresail.
Most of us use the mizzen trim for balancing the helm, its location at the back of the boat makes more difference even with minimal trimming makes a big difference to the steering load and it helps self steering vanes have a much easier time keeping the boat on course.

I just love your philosophy! Here on the English canals my friend and I and our two boats have no destination either. We pull into towns for provisions and then pull out again, wondering which of the turns ahead we'll take. Up ahead are junctions, choices, and we check the guides and that very rural one sounds good ... I think we'll go there 🙂.

After watching part of this video I paused it. Everything is visible spoke that they built it. They are at sea because they built everything I see. They were land-bound. On the hard.
How can two people leave the land by the mere work of four hands? That is the magic. Land to sea.
