Build a workshop/covered concrete pad so you can work better in the heat/rain, also you will have a good soild base to setup tools etc... will make construction faster and easier. You could even put a solar roof on it. 👍

Yup. A dry, secure place to continue work in bad weather and store materials behind a door and under a roof. Invaluable to a build like this. I had a huge shipping container for my build....i can %100 say it lends a huge pc of mind, not having to worry about the character of my subcontractors 24/7.....Equally great was knowing i’can bring tools home on the daily and still wouldn't have filled that beutiful 40x8x10.
Once your home is done, the options for said structure /space are endless. Ours will soon house the unsightly and noisey pool equipment and suppotrt the solar array that I hope will at least provide some tangiblede savings running said equipment

Matt , get treatment on your eye immediately ! My thoroughbred race horse had an eye injury like yours and we did everything we could to save the eye but within a year the eye needed to be removed to save the horses life ! I feel sad for your injury because the mental depression you will experience is going to be hard on you . Get treatment NOW !

A few solar lights to light up the larger plants might look pretty cool. A nice solar light atop the fence at each side of the driveway gate would look nice. 24:34

      My thought exactly.
I also suggested last video that they take a walk around their jungle property to maybe dig up some big plants that obviously do well in that area, and transplant them out front to save money; but I'm thrifty.

I think it looks good but living here in Phoenix and a gardner I can tell you some of those agaves will grow much bigger typically, so the spacing should be more. If you know their names you can research spacing. That said, they are very easy to dig up and move wth little trauma compare to other plants. Small root system.

I love palm trees but I live in Northern California on the coast where only a few varieties can thrive. I have tried 3 times to plant palm trees only to have them die the first two times - once due to winter storms and the second time to gophers. The third attempt with a Mexican Palm is now going on 5 years. I started with a tiny palm only three feet tall to keep costs down - it was still $50. Now it is twice that size and based on other Mexican Palms in the area will eventually grow to more than 30 feet high!

As a landscaping designer here in Venezuela I have a few tips for you. Don't go to the city to buy plants. Look for other plant shops around your area, is usually cheaper. Unless you are looking for specific plants. Also, go around your land as I'm sure you'll be able to find amazing plants that you can use for landscaping. Also, use a blow torch to make holes for the plants on your weed fabric. It's easier. Great job guys, it looks beautiful. Well done. Love and be safe!😘🤗🌼ve

Loved the video as always, excited to see the next phase.
A recommendation/request - one thing I loved about your boat videos was the great wildlife shots - fish, turtles, etc. A fun part of what you're doing now is all the animals. The iguana segment was great, please include more. Just tack on an extra few minutes of gratuitous raw animal footage - the goats, the cats, the chickens, anything - if you can get some shots of wild birds on your property would be really cool too. Won't require a lot of editing just add it as a bonus at the end. I guarantee everyone will love it. :)

I think I would have used plants that you already have on your property. They are already acclimated to the environment, but you've put in desert plants which seems weird to me. I always look forward to your videos and your progress. I'm looking forward to when you get a bun in the oven. As a falconer, I was so excited when you had that hawk. But falconry isn't like raising chicken's, It takes a lot of time that you don't have. My bird ate three mice per day and I flew her free for a couple of hours a day, but it was really cool, and she always knew where I was. If I put my hand up, she came to me like a baseball hitting a mitt.

The landscaping looks great. As a General Contractor, I recommend not putting trees and tall shrubs within 4' of the fence or footing line. Once they grow up, they will take the fence or the wall down if they get blown down. Just a general comment. It looks great.

Before you start fencing off your spaces down below, consider the jungle scenery is what makes it beautiful.
Not sure what your plans are, but maybe instead of solid walls, decoratove spaced out pillars with black chain link or black metal fencing between might be an idea.
The eye automatically makes the black kind of disappear, so you see the jungle view beyond.

Speaking of eyes.....my neighbor got mad at me because his bougainvillea grew over onto my side of the fence and I trimmed them way back. They look beautiful as he said, but they covered the whole fence line and they were right at my dogs eye level! I love them but those thorns are wicked. Has no one invented a thornless bougainvillea yet I wonder? They would look great at your place out front tho. So many different colors.

those rv tires will last a lot longer if you park them over some cement stepping stones. water wicks up from the ground into the tires and they rot much faster. the 12" ones will fit in between the two tires and one behind the rear tire, then roll it back right on top of them. The 16" one are too big to fit between the two tires.

Be careful planting trees close to a wall or fence. Imagine what the tree will look like dimensionally when fully grown and plant it accordingly so as not to disaffect footings and foundations of infrastructure, maintenance, or other landscaping features..

aussie willow or better yet Japanese Yew.. or oleander...these plants will grow like lightning in a tropical environment .
So, all you need are Cuttings, these are small branches about 12 inches and you cut them at the bottom on an angle, take a pocket knife and strip back the skin about an inch, place your cuttings on a small bucket or water bottle change the water every 3 days and in 30 days it'll have sprouted roots. You then plant it in a small pot with loose well draining native soil from your property. Wait 2 months and transplant from container to it's final destination. And watch it grow.. you're doing a great job

Just a dumb question… and y’all can say so it won’t hurt my feelings. But you have a jungle full of plants, trees and things. Why not just transplant some of those plants and trees from there?

I also thought of that, but I know some plants can’t be replanted, you have to know what you're doing.. also, the plants they got aren’t the same as the one on the property and I guess they were looking for specific tropical looking plants.
      But hey, I'm not a botanist. 🤷🏿‍♂️

At my house, i put in a wood fence just like yours. It touched the ground. In no time, the ends of the vertical boards had sucked up moisture to make ugly stains on the boards for about 10 inches above ground level. Wood rot followed until the wood no longer touched the ground. By the way, in Florida, iguanas eat your plants and flowers. Homeowners pay to have them hunted and eradicated. They are NOT pets.

With all the plants on your property, there may be some small plants you can dig up and replant along your wall. :¬) Webhead USA

You could put the horse stall mat under your rv Trailer or use it as a car park pad.

You should take some of your banana plants and get the smallest ones. And put one or two along your fence line

I noticed where the trailer got hit when you were moving it.. You have not steal that up yet if you don't steal that up... Every time it rains water rolls down inside of it... And it's going to rot your trailer away that is a really nice trailer Build a roof over the top of it so it doesn't get beat to death By the sun... And you up that corner where you tore it up for Christ sakes.. That's going to be your guest house later on Don't let it go to hell..... That water rolling in that corner will destroy that trailer...
