Thanks for your update video to Zubiri. We plan to stay at the same albergue......if you still recommend. In 10 days we depart San Diego for SJPDP. Getting excited!
You got my bed in Suzeia albergue! Same room, same bed! I was there in September 2018 and that hostel set the bar high. Great place and a very nice meal. I’m really enjoying your journey. I got as far as Belorado and then bussed forward you Burgos to rest a leg injury. I decided to leave it for a return attempt which I’m hoping to restart in May. You were absolutely right about day 1. Brutal. I never really recovered and I’d trained. Older legs as you pointed out don’t work as good. I thought long and hard about staying at Orrison and made the wrong decision not to. Great content and looking forward to watching the rest
Days 3 & 4 are ready for uploading but I need WIFI fast enough to upload. I’m in Aegli just passed Estrella on day 5., which is nearly done editing. At this albergue I’m getting upload estimates of 16 hours. I can’t wait that long.
i have watched so many bloggers on the camino..this just reinforces why I wont be staying at an Albergue..too close next to others and no privacy plus the many stories of snorers and other sounds. Been hiking for 30 years and would rather sleep outside in a sleeping bag but in this case, Hotels for me and the wife this September.
If you stay in albergues you will definitely have snorers, early risers and lots of other noise. I did get used to it after a few weeks. Privacy is certainly another issue. The positive side of albergues is the lower cost and the social aspect. Many albergues also have small private rooms for 2 that may or may not share bathrooms. There are certainly many pilgrims like yourself that opt out of albergues.
At 3:52 - The Famous Stepping Stone Bridge !!!
Another awesome day. Thank you. Can’t wait to watch each and every day.
The communal meals were so much fun and then we’d see people on and off after. Great for creating a Camino family feel😍
Oh, that gorgeous pink sunrise! I also saw Kate’s video and this will be on my list if I end up stopping in Zubiri. 👍
I also recommend Casa Ibarrola in Pamplona. Best sleeping night so far
Dales Outdoor Adventures Great! Thanks for the reco!!
Great video. I’m on the Camino Norte now and will be following you.
