Totally agree with the marriage part... Complete waste of money.... Had proposed this idea 10 years back to my parents.... But societal pressure doesn't allow them to agree to this. It's like a cycle. One family does... Seeing it another does... And then every one starts doing it.

My sister in law spent 60 lac to get a fancy engineering degree for her daughter , she got a job with salary of 30000 per month after all these . She would have earned the same , had she studied in a normal university too.
India produces more engineers than four technically advanced top countries put together. Engineering education is qualitatively inferior, colleges are permitted to operate without any checks.

I'm totally inline with your thoughts, it's never worth investing 25-50lacs on education, it's becoming difficult to get the kind of package, apart from few individuals who spend time, effort, and hard work to get the high salary package. I hold two degree and Exe. MBA from Tier 1 institute and still these are not giving me any returns.. it all depends on the experience and expertise which one carries over long time and that's what new generation should have at least 2-3 strong skills with them to survive in any industry..
Sir 20 +25 lac main se 20 lac ka gold hi hota total from boy to girl n girl to boy and 7-8 lac ki gaddi ho jati hai. Agar 7-8 lac party ka kharcha ho jata toh shagun bhi ajata phir 3-4 lac baki sr kapda or lain dain hai, dena toh padega kyun ki liya hai.

Very true. This takes place in many many low and middle class families leaving a big hole in the pockets or bank account. It is routine: pass SSC then do graduation and if you are smart, be a double graduate and then get a 20000/- salary job, may be an online job, or in a mall or office. Next is get married, spend by either taking loans and pay after marriage for a few years. In that are festivals where there is much expenditure and monthly expenses. Here you earn and same you spend. These two issues are of importance to deal with and youngsters should be enlightened with or discussed, to gain understanding and be able to make wise and sensible choices, decisions.
