You can run your pump while swimming and are actually supposed to run your pump constantly .especially those little pumps or else your gonna have soup. Clean that filter amap.

Did you check the water pressure nob on the top? Are all the clamps tighten? Did you check the seals on the pump? I hope it's one of these checks 🙂. Good luck.

What do you do if you change the filter and it pump keeps leaking from the top?
Did you close the top nob? You are supposed to open it then close it. On the other hand, this can also mean it's defective.

The only problem I'm confused about is the power cord to the pump . It's not a normal ground it's weird and big ! Is there an adapter I can buy so I can plug it into a heavy duty power cord? HELP Show me your pump cord to see if it's the same as mine. Ty

Did you open the top nob to release the water pressure? If so, then you have to close it. I hope this helps.

How can they sell their products for years and be as bad as amateurs?!! In addition I am French, there is almost nothing for French people and I have to try to understand an explanation in a foreign language with some basics. Thank you sir because your explanations are good and I finally understood thanks to you. I also have a chemconnect and nothing is explained. I have a drawing that shows it goes on the pump apparently but there is nothing that can connect.
Also I am very angry with them because they say not to put an extension cord but, then why do they make electric wires of 2 meters?? Who statistically has an electrical outlet at the bottom of their garden?? My swimming pool is 25 meters away, obviously I need an extension cord, otherwise I have to pay an electrician 300 euros to install an electrical outlet.

I thought your video was the best I've seen so far. Interesting that Boone seems to have the T valve for the total of 3 hoses that goes to the B side, but I figured that out myself. Maybe you could do a video about chemicals you use to keep your water clean. That's another big mystery to me. Appreciate this vid though, and will definitely be watching your others. My pump isn't doing anything. 😭 On to the next video. SMH

Great question.... I normally run the filter for about 2-3 hours per day when there are no one in. However, you can definitely run it longer... Just keep in mind when you use it longer you may have to replace the filter more often...
I normally change my filter 14-21 days after usage. Have a great summer:))
What do you mean filter can't be on when kids are in the pool so when is the filter meant to be used
I am always scared that water might get into the wire from the slashing.... And cause an accidental shock... So, I prefer to run the pump when there is no one in the pool.

I definitely don't leave it on for 8 hours. I normally leave it on for 2-3 hours a day.

My only problem where I am confused, is my pool came with a filter that has 4 hoses- (2 long, 2 short), & a "T" fitting to connect the 2 small hoses and 1 long hose to the (B) side of filter pump....
I am wondering,
Could I just plug up the extra "B" hole
(from left to right there is (A), (B), & a third (B).
Can I plug the middle B, and just use the 2 long hoses like you have demonstrated in this video?

I think you mean the black rubber nobs? If so, it stops the water from flowing out as you install the hoses.

Can anyone tell my how frequent we need do this & how long/hour it needed?
I personally ran the pump for about 2-4 hours a day to prevent algae from forming. Other people tend to leave the pump running while people are inside of the pool( but not 24 hours as you would constantly have to replace filters every few days). If you choose that method make sure the pump is protected from getting wet. You definitely want to avoid any possible electrical hazard.

I have one problem: despite tightening the hose clamps at the pump in the way you showed on the film, water is still dripping from this place.
I had to put the clamps over the gaskets to avoid leakage at the joints.

The only thing I disagree with is not running the pump while people are in the pool. No electricity is exposed to the water and if it ever was your breaker would trip immediately

I watched the manufacturer pool set up video, and they said do NOT plug the filter pump into an extension cord. Only plug it directly into an outlet. Well that will be impossible since I do not have an electrical outlet outside. What should I do?
I use an extension cord with a circuit breaker. But that was my choice.... It worked for me.
@@How2Review is it basically going to be fine since you would only run the pump for an hour or two at a time? Maybe the manufacturer just has to say that because of liability?
@@rosethemer7796 I agree as well.... I didn't have any issues with my pump..... However... Always make sure to check the voltage on the extension cord to ensure its compatible with your pump.... Ex.... I am living in Germany.... The voltages for most homes are 220 but I work on post where they sell 110 voltage equipment... Plugging a 110 voltage into a 22O socket could spill disaster for me... I hope I gave you a clear understanding. Good luck.

You may use the pump while being in the pool if it's plugged into a GFCI outlet. It will pop the circuit instantaneously for safety, if it detects any malfunction in the electrical current.
Nice install video. We have the same filter in the UK and the instruction are quite clear.
One thing to note is that you should not run the pump while the air release valve is open as it sucks more air in through the top.
Once both inlet and outlet pipes are full of water, open the valve until water runs out then close it.
Pick up each pipe to ensure no air stuck in them then turn in pump.
