Hey Rick great videos. I’m having a problem where my 04TTR225 won’t start but gets good spark and we have a brand new carburetor put on it and we change the oil to 1040 synthetic. After trying to start it for a minute it seems like the starter just free wheels. In the video where you change the stater that starter gear fell out but you didn’t show how you put it back in. Does it have to go in a certain way there’s like a little mark on that little starter gear I don’t know if it Hass to be set for timing for that starter gear or not… thanks
Hey , I just picked up a TTR 225 project a few weeks ago and picked up an aftermarket carb but I have no idea which lines go where to ensure I’m getting fuel in my cylinder ? Think you could help me out . Thanks in advance
Have those concrete blocks on the way to the bridge been rearranged yet? I'm sure the bike won't have any problems with them though. Oh, Btw, why work in the dark using the infra red?
Hey Rick, when you're adjusting valves, do you tighten the tappets really snug on the feeler gauge, or just tight enough that you can still slide it around?
Hey learned something haha (y) thanks a lot Right now, mine sounds like $&@/€ I need to buy the tools and get it fixed as soon as possible Your sounds sweet
Hey Rick, I got a question. Could you make a video about all the mods you done to it, or is it all stock? Btw I have a Yamaha TTR 250 Thanks. Emmanuel.
Am I the only one who noticed .. 11/16 socket.. on a Japanese bike. (17mm nut ) Japanese bikes are not ase standard they are metric. Invest in some tools young man.
sounds much better
Pretty chilly there already? It was 100 here in Texas on Monday.
Awesome rick!!!! i just was about to research youtube videos on how to do this for my quad!!! now i don't u taught me!! RIGHT ON!! Cheers buddy!

Feeling like I'm watching Blair Witch project.
A good pole dancer and a good mechanic!
Are you in a secret mission? Doing it in night visions ?
@trbfshmn The stator is the same part number as the XT225 which is the enduro version of this bike with all the signals and lights.
I love it when it is cold.
@Knaeckebrotsaege what about chuck norise
Feel better man
@CrazyIvan1337 Snug enough when you move it around there's resistance.
@BriggsMower have not seen the gytr but quite happy with my fmf powercore 2
@jerryhowell9 he should get the fmf or gytr muffler and #130 main and #38 pilot and open the exhaust box thay go fast as with those mods
COOL THAT'S THE WAY RICK FLOG IT WHILE ITS COLD
did oil come out?
Turn the lights on!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that the same on a 400 ex honda...Those valves have never been adjusted since new ?
@BriggsMower But its still an overweight bike!!! Been looking for a CRF230
So What Is Wrong With It Rick?

Good work Rick, certainly sounds different second time round!
@trbfshmn 2008 yz250f
all the race bikes are like that tho.
out of curiosity, how far out WERE the valves when you started? It sounded a lot better than it did on the cold start...
thanks mann learned alot!!!!
Hey Rick, when you're adjusting valves, do you tighten the tappets really snug on the feeler gauge, or just tight enough that you can still slide it around?
i wish my bike was that easy u have to take the whole head off to do the valves basically.. lol
@RedneckRickem Thanks mate, good to know, I've always wondered. I've always done it that way, so I guess I'm safe! haha
On my ttr 125s fly wheel there's is like an I shaped mark and then right below it is a dash how do I know which one is top dead center
Hey learned something haha (y) thanks a lot
Right now, mine sounds like $&@/€
I need to buy the tools and get it fixed as soon as possible
Your sounds sweet
@BriggsMower yeah i like fmf's
@RedneckRickem ok y not get a cheap yz250f or something like that
Tell dave to make some videos!!!
what was the front and rear valve specs you used
@RedneckRickem rick if you get another bike i would suggest a nice liquid cooled 2 stroke, much easier to work on and hell of a lot faster
Nice, but i think a common screwdriver would work better then a toonie ahaha
What tool to turn the adjustment rod?
I THOUGHT YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO HAVE COMPRESSION WHEN TURN ING TO T TO GET TOP DEAD CENTER?
@DoubleEntendreSongs no!
Hey Rick, I got a question.

whatever im 35
rick is getting old
I had one of those...that was the worst dirtbike ever built...heavy as lead and slow as a turtle
Get over that sickness with a bottle of Jack and a good nights sleep
Am I the only one who noticed .. 11/16 socket.. on a Japanese bike. (17mm nut ) Japanese bikes are not ase standard they are metric. Invest in some tools young man.
Drinking and no helmet..a perfect combination
@redneckrollercoast1 u mad bro?
first
KKK flag next to your confederate flag... interesting
red flag with white cross is the flag of Denmark, not KKK.
Uneducated typical lol
