What a bummer on the lost footage. I always get a kick watching your videos, informative, and a little humorous. Makes for a good watch.

Thank you for watching and for your feedback. I have a few slide hammers so I’m not sure which one you’re talking about in particular. Most of these can be purchased off of Amazon fairly inexpensively. It just depends on what you’re looking to do with it

Unfortunately I don’t. I sold the bike. All I can say is that it felt very well made. Can’t speak on the longevity of the Nikasil coating but it was actually impressive that the tolerances were so tight. I would say give it a shot for the price.

Looks great, nice work. Do you have a rule for which bolts should get loctite? Or are you just following service manual?

Thank you and great question. Any bolt inside the engine that could vibrate out and cause damage will get blue threadlocker.

@@restoroosterohv Good rule of thumb, thanks. Found your channel last week and I'm glad I did. Just started playing with repairing bikes and coming from an auto tech background it's nice to see the nuances of motorcycle engines from another tech and not some kids in their garage haha

is there any specific reason you use an impact? I can tell your super carful but I screwed my tar-125 clutch case up BAD using one back when I was dumb lol but now Im terrified to use them lol

Laziness… I would 100% recommend to use a torque wrench on all bolts. I’ve been doing this for many years and know my tools very well so I cheat a little. There are certain bolts that I will torque for sure. It’s not an excuse and I know it sets a bad example for my viewers. Thanks for airing your concern and I will try to be more vigilant in future videos. Appreciate you watching.
