Hello Lady C. I just found your video today, since I am doing research on Uterine Ablation. I will be having one very soon. Hello! Yes, it’s the same thing. The scrape the walls of your uterine. I haven’t really had any pains or problems. Periods are slim to non. I have had some bladder leakage, but the nurse said that my fibroids had not gotten any larger. So we will see. Thanks for watching!
@@ladyc5809 Ps. I forgot to mention I have been suffering excruciating pain during my periods from my 2 fibroids. They are small. Do you think this Will procedure can cause someones fibroid pain to stop?
@@wylethathompson1480 Ok, I’m glad all went well. My prayer for you is that God takes all of the pain away and you will have no more symptoms or issues.
I am contemplating doing this due to adenomyosis. In a pamphlet I was given, it stated it can be done in -office. I went into a PANIC but I see you, literally, were put out with general anesthesia? I can handle that, but there is no WAY I could be awake during it. I have panic attacks and fainting spells when I get a ureteral stent taken out! LOL. I may have to clarify this is an option with my OBGYN. Otherwise, I'll stay on the pill. Sorry about the Covid swab!! My daughter had 2. One was easy....the phys assistant said if they are done more straight-on vs going UP, they are much easier. The second by someone else was brutal. NOT FUN! Thanks for sharing your experience!!!
Hello, Thank you for watching, and I’m glad it helped. Yes, I was out like a light with the anesthesia, and it is definitely an option. I wish you well if you decide to have this procedure done. God bless!
Hi Amy, how are you and did you have the ablation? I have adenomyosis as well and I am scheduled for to have a uterus ablation this week. Just wondering if you found relief?
Hello, thanks for sharing. I am having an Oblation soon, I have a few fabroids and been in so much pain this past few months that I’ve become anemic as well. Question for you, how was your pain after the surgery? Any cramping? Any bleeding? Did you have the lining burn?
Ameela Padarat Hello, to be totally honest with you, I didn’t have any pain at all. They wrote me a prescription for pain, but I never had to take any! Not one pain pill, but I know that everyone is different, and maybe my fibroids were not as severe as others. I’m not sure, but I am really grateful! I have a 2-3 day light cycle oppose to the full 7 day heavy cycle that I use to have. Yes, lining was burned and tubes removed. I’ve been feeling really good.
Ameela Padarat No, I didn’t because my cycles have been like this all my life, but I’ve always had low iron and no energy. The Dr equated that to my thyroid imbalance/hyperthyroidism and placed me on Levothyroxine.
Ameela Padarat I have about 6 and the Dr said one was the size of a grate fruit that was pushing up against the walls of my uterus causing heavy bleeding. No, I have little to no bleeding and a 2 day light cycle.
I’m getting ready to have my surgery next month and I’m very nervous!!!!! To the point I’m about to chicken out but then I go back to thinking about the cramping and how it awakes me in the middle of the night, in a fetal position just crying type pain so I’m going put my faith in Christ and go with this procedure and believe this will work for me I know everything isn’t for everybody. I just guess my main concern was that I’m a black female dealing with a white female doctor (and it has nothing to do with race) but I want to make sure she understands my body, yes she understand my body as a “ Woman” but not as a black African woman so this one is a challenge and beside I have never had surgery before especially right now during this time so I have a lot of concerns.
R. Shanell Peele I understand, I had never had surgery before this as well, and definitely not the level of pain that you had, but it was definitely worth it. I was supposed to have the surgery last year, but I chickened out because I was afraid and didn’t understand everything. Then this year, I decided to write all my questions down and go back and ask the Dr & nurses for clarity. I didn’t have the surgery until all my questions were answered. I had a white male and female Doctor and they were both great. They were really nice and explained everything I needed to know and made me feel very comfortable. Since your surgery is next month, then you have time to go back and ask questions! God Bless
THANK YOU! This really helps me a lot I’m glad I ran across your UA-cam I was about get off because normally I’m sleep lol and I know my husband was like what is she doing but it was bothering that bad so I got up and started doing some research and thank you! May God continue to use you in all that you do. #Blessings
I also have fibroids and experiance some of the same symtoms. I am on the fence for the abalsion but it's an option. When I hit 40 my body changed and I'm confused most months as to what is happening. Am I pregnant, menopause or just PMS. I often have cyst as well and they also cause issues. This was a cool video, thanks for the awareness.
R. Shanell Peele Yes Ma’am, I did an update about a week after. It’s called Post Surgery Fibroid Update. The cover shows me with a cap on and earbuds. Look for that one. You may have to click back on this video, then click on my name and scroll through all of my videos to find it, but it’s there. I’m doing well now. You should definitely go look at it. Thanks for watching!
I didn’t want it but the doc, I have, said he had to get sample of the tissue of the uterus to make sure it isn’t cancerous. I ended up having it done today. Worst 3 mins of my life .
@@ladyc5809 I just had my biopsy done earlier and waiting for the ablation procedure now...the biopsy hurt like hell I had no pain relief but was only 2 mins of pain.
How was your bleeding the day of your procedure? Also what about the next few days? I’m on blood thinners and my doctors is skeptical about doing this.
I had a heavy flow, using the long heavy duty over night pads for about 5-7 days, now It’s super light for about 3 days and I only have to use panty liners now.
You would have to cut back on your sweets and starches, and that would begin to shrink your fibroids until they disappear. There may be other ways too, but this is what my Dr told me.
They don’t remove your fibroids unless you’re having a major surgery. An ablation is a minor out patient surgery. They only scrape the walls of your uterus to help stop the pain and heavy bleeding.
Hi, yes, you sure can! It will certainly slow your period/cycle flow down for sure, but it depends on how heavy the flow is to begin with if your cycle actually stops or not. Some women have to get the hysterectomy instead of the ablation. Have you spoken with a Dr yet to see what they would recommend?
They did tell me that some procedures work and some don’t and that I may have to get a hysterectomy if I wasn’t satisfied with the results. So, you may have to look at some other options.

@@ladyc5809 Ps. I forgot to mention I have been suffering excruciating pain during my periods from my 2 fibroids. They are small. Do you think this Will procedure can cause someones fibroid pain to stop?
Hope you feel better soon
Thank you
Having this done December 28th. This was so helpful!

Thank you for the information, help me a lot. Thank you 🙏🏻
You are very welcome!
That is so good to hear, do you have a lot of fabroids?
Did you become anemic at all? I’m now anemic bc of the blood lost every month due to my fabroids.
Hello how was your first day after surgery? I have mine done in a week and I am scared.
Hello, it was fine because meds for the pain. I was moving a little slower than usual, but I was fine.
God Bless
R. Shanell Peele And also ask God to remove the spirit of fear and give you a spirit of peace about it if it’s meant to be.
THANK YOU! This really helps me a lot I’m glad I ran across your UA-cam I was about get off because normally I’m sleep lol and I know my husband was like what is she doing but it was bothering that bad so I got up and started doing some research and thank you! May God continue to use you in all that you do. #Blessings
R. Shanell Peele You’re Welcome
R. Shanell Peele Hello again! I just thought about you and wanted to check in to see how your surgery went on yesterday?
I also have fibroids and experiance some of the same symtoms. I am on the fence for the abalsion but it's an option. When I hit 40 my body changed and I'm confused most months as to what is happening. Am I pregnant, menopause or just PMS. I often have cyst as well and they also cause issues. This was a cool video, thanks for the awareness.
Thank you Chris! Yes, I asked a lot of questions and did a lot of research on my own! I hope you find what works best for you! Thanks for sharing!

Can you do a update if possible?
Okay! I sure will
Thank you
O-O did you get the biopsy done before the ablation?
No, I didn’t. Is that something that you’re thinking about doing?
I didn’t want it but the doc, I have, said he had to get sample of the tissue of the uterus to make sure it isn’t cancerous. I ended up having it done today. Worst 3 mins of my life .
@@amandawhitis8788 Oh I’m sorry to hear that! I pray that your procedure goes well, and you have a speedy recovery!

How do you get rid of fibroids? If possible.
You would have to cut back on your sweets and starches, and that would begin to shrink your fibroids until they disappear. There may be other ways too, but this is what my Dr told me.
@@ladyc5809 Oh wow

Wait they left some in there
They don’t remove your fibroids unless you’re having a major surgery. An ablation is a minor out patient surgery. They only scrape the walls of your uterus to help stop the pain and heavy bleeding.
Hi I’m a healthy woman and I want to stop my period forever so can I do this???? Plz replyy
I just had this almost 1week ago
How are you feeling? Any after pain?

@@ladyc5809 Thank you Jesus the pain and cramping stopped 2 days now...I have my follow up appointments coming up soon...
@@christinemcdonald8944 Amen
I had one performed: my cycle still have NOT ended
They did tell me that some procedures work and some don’t and that I may have to get a hysterectomy if I wasn’t satisfied with the results. So, you may have to look at some other options.
